Carl Edwards – Pure Michigan 400 Advance

After surviving eight cautions, Edwards found himself in the catbird seat directly behind Marcos Ambrose and A.J. Allmendinger for the final restart. Edwards drove his No. 99 Cheez-It Ford hard, but as the checkered-flag flew with cars wrecking behind him, he captured his fifth top-five of the season and finished fifth.

Truex Jr., Furniture Row Racing Looking for Reversal at Michigan International Speedway

The last time Martin Truex Jr. competed at Michigan International Speedway it was both a short and long day for the Furniture Row Racing driver. Truex’s No. 78 Chevrolet got caught up in an accident on Lap 8 of 200 at the Michigan June race. The wreck caused him to fall three laps down with a heavily damaged race car.
