NASCAR Cup Series

Six races in the books, six different Sprint Cup Series winners. Though in each look at the list, a big name is missing -six-time Sprint Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson. With this year's points format making wins so important, one would think that'd be a big issue. However, Johnson says that he's felt no pressure so far.

During driver press conferences at Texas Motor Speedway Friday, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was asked if he felt the reduction in horsepower would make the racing more competitive, whether it would change his driving style and his thoughts on less horsepower.

AJ Allmendinger doesn’t have the greatest equipment on the racetrack, however, he’s doing the best he can with what he’s been provided.

This weekend Roush Fenway Racing driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and crew chief Mike Kelley return to the site where they first teamed up four seasons ago. Kelley took over the reins of the No. 6 team at Texas Motor Speedway in April of 2010.

“We have had a lot of good runs at this track. The surface is really good it’s real wide and gives you a lot of options as a driver to find speed and find a good balance if your car doesn’t work on the bottom you can move around, try different entrances and see if you can help your car and maintain some track position before you get a chance to work on it again.

AJ Allmendinger, No. 47 BUSCH’S BEANS CHEVROLET SS, met with members of the media at Texas Motor Speedway and discussed his season thus far, the parity in the field in 2014, why the finishes have been so close this season and many other topics.

Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Ford Fusion, has made it to the final round of qualifying every week since the new format was adopted.
