NASCAR Cup Series

Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 3M Ford Fusion, is eighth in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings with three races remaining. He joined the NASCAR teleconference on Tuesday afternoon to talk about his upcoming 400th series start and a variety of other issues going into this weekend’s race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Brad Keselowski made his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) in November of 2008. After starting the race from the 37th position, the then 24-year-old Keselowski raced his way to a respectable 19th-place finishing position.

Stenhouse has six Nationwide career starts, earning one win and two top-five and four top-10 finishes.

In 74 starts at Texas Motor Speedway dating back to 1997, RCR has recorded one win (Jeff Burton, April 2007), eight top-five and 28 top-10 finishes with drivers Burton, Clint Bowyer, Dale Earnhardt, Kevin Harvick, Jeff Green and Paul Menard. Prior to TMS's inaugural season in 1997, Richard Childress, a former driver in NASCAR's top division, earned a pair of top-10 finishes at the now defunct Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas.

Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Fastenal Ford Fusion, has two wins this season (Phoenix 1 and Richmond 2) and sits 10th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings with three races remaining. He was one of two guests this week on the NASCAR teleconference and discussed a variety of topics.

At the spring Texas race, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. cut a left-rear tire sending him into the outside wall early causing the rookie to go numerous laps down resulting in a 40th-place finish.

This weekend, Marcos Ambrose and the No. 9 Mac Tools team will help celebrate Richard Petty Motorsports 500th NASCAR Sprint Cup start. RPM was formed in 2009 with Ambrose joining the organization in 2011. In his three seasons with the team, the Australian native has made 105 starts and tallied two of RPM's four wins. He has also posted eight top-fives, 26 top-10s and three poles while racing for "The King" Richard Petty.

No. 55 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota driver Elliott Sadler tests at Homestead-Miami Speedway Tuesday and Wednesday before traveling to Texas Motor Speedway for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race. In 2004, Sadler won the second of his three career victories on the 1.5-mile Texas oval.

Radio Disney's "N.B.T." (Next Big Thing) and Epic Records' Fifth Harmony will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” live at Phoenix International Raceway prior to the ServiceMaster 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series Race (Saturday, Nov. 9, 2 p.m. MST), PIR President Bryan R. Sperber announced today. The group’s performance was arranged through a partnership between PIR, Radio Disney Phoenix and the NASCAR Entertainment Group.
