While Ryan Truex’s Sprint Cup Series debut might not have turned out exactly as he had hoped, the 21 year old development driver for Richard Petty Motorsports and past K&N Series Champion left Bristol feeling ‘fortunate and lucky’ to be where he is at currently in the sport today.

Kenseth led the final 125 laps and held off Kasey Kahne to win the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol, his series-best fifth win of the year. If the Chase For The Cup started this week, Kenseth would be the top seed.

Earlier today, Stewart-Haas Racing held a press conference to officially announce the signing of Kurt Busch. The 2004 NASCAR Sprint Cup champion will pilot the Haas Automation Chevrolet as the 4th car in the 2014 Stewart-Haas Racing fleet.

In 15 starts at the 1.54-mile Atlanta track, Edwards has three wins, eight top-five and 10 top-10 finishes. His average start is 10.3, and his average finish is 15.1. Edwards has completed 93.5% of laps attempted at Atlanta.

Stenhouse Jr. on racing at Atlanta: “Atlanta is one of my favorite tracks on the circuit. It’s an older track that is rough but fast. The rough tracks suit my driving style because of my dirt racing background. Last year we won the Nationwide race which was a big win for us."

No. 15 RK Motors Toyota Camry driver Clint Bowyer heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway for this weekend’s 500-mile NASCAR Sprint Cup race. Bowyer secured his second consecutive Chase berth with Michael Waltrip Racing at Bristol last weekend.

As NASCAR’s 2013 Chase for the Sprint Cup approaches it might be a good time to take inventory of where Sprint Cup organizations stand.

Marcos Ambrose and the No. 9 team have turned a corner in the past three races posting two top-10 finishes and winning a pole. David Gilliland wasn't on site for the Goodyear tire test at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway three weeks ago, but he firmly believes he'll benefit from it. Teammate David Ragan participated in the test and brought back some knowledge about how the Gen-6 car runs on the 1.5-mile oval that can help the entire Front Row Motorsports organization.
