On the weekend that our country celebrates the Fourth of July, Aric Almirola would like to bring that celebration to Victory Lane at the World's Center of Racing and America's most iconic track, Daytona International Speedway. Almirola will race with the U.S. Air Force on the hood of the No. 43 Ford.

As the summer months roll into full swing, Marcos Ambrose and the No. 9 Stanley Ford team are showing again why this is their best time of the year. The team is coming off a seventh-place finish at Sonoma and 13th-place finish at Kentucky. In both races, the team qualified in the top-five.

David Ragan, driver of the No. 34 Taco Bell Ford Fusion for Front Row Motorsports, has two career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victories and both of them have come at the restrictor plate tracks of Daytona and Talladega. Ragan was a guest on this week’s NASCAR teleconference and spoke about his success at that type of racing and what he expects this weekend in the Coke Zero 400 at DIS.

The bright yellow and green colors of Peanut Patch Boiled Peanuts return to the No. 34 Ford this weekend in NASCAR's first race at a restrictor plate track since Ragan's dramatic win at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway on May 5.

After earning a career-best 19th-place finish at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeeday in May, Josh Wise is eager to go back to a restrictor plate track. His No. 35 MDS Transport Ford team will be ready to go racing at Daytona International Speedway this week for Saturday night's Coke Zero 400.

Everyone jokes that David Ragan owes David Gilliland a victory. After Gilliland pushed his teammate to Front Row Motorsports' first win at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway for a 1-2 finish in May, it's only natural to rib Ragan about returning the favor this weekend at Daytona International Speedway. Gilliland is very much in favor of that role reversal.

How do you win four races in a season? You Matt'er down of course, which is exactly what Mr. Kenseth did at Kentucky on Sunday. He might not have had the best car on the day, but he did when it counted as he claimed his 28th career victory. The victory moves him to fifth in the standings and, even more important, three bonus points up on Jimmie Johnson in re-calibrated Chase points.

It seems that the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup season has been one long runaway season. Early on, it was Matt Kenseth dominating races. Then, it was Jimmie Johnson and Hendrick Motorsports dominating.
