Front Row Motorsports earned its first NASCAR victory Sunday night at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway when David Gilliland pushed teammate David Ragan to the checkers in a dramatic last-lap surge to cap off a wild and rain-interrupted race. Ragan earned Bob Jenkins' young team its first Sprint Cup Series win and Gilliland finished second for the best - and most dramatic - finish in team history.

Landon Cassill and the No. 4 Flex Seal team recorded a top-20 finish this weekend at the 2.66 mile Talladega Superspeedway. The team ran up front all day, but was collected in a last lap crash resulting in a 17th place finish. The finish catapulted the No. 4 car to 32nd in the Owner’s Points battle.

NASCAR’s new Gen-6 Car has drawn rave reviews from drivers and fans alike after the first 10 races in 2013. On May 14-15, the car will make its debut at Michigan International Speedway when two teams conduct a test. And fans are invited to watch free of charge.

David Ragan, driver of the No.34 Farm Rich Ford, survived two “big ones” and over a three and a half hour rain delay to capture the second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win of his career and first at Talladega Superspeedway. Tonight’s Aaron’s 499 victory marks the first win for Front Row Motorsports, and marks the first NSCS triumph for any active Ford driver at Talladega.

In a wild scramble to the checkered flag, Jimmie Johnson led the way for Team Chevy by powering his No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet SS to a fifth-place finish in the rain-delayed Aaron’s 499 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway. It was Johnson’s fifth top-five finish of the season, boosting his lead in the current point standings to 41 markers over second.

Today’s win by Ragan is the first NSCS triumph for any active Ford driver at Talladega. It marks the 20th Ford victory at the 2.66-mile speedway and the second straight following Matt Kenseth’s victory last fall.
