With a second-place finish at Kansas Speedway; Kasey Kahne, No. 5 Farmers Insurance 85th Anniversary Chevrolet SS, moved into the second position in the overall NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) standings behind his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jimmie Johnson, No. 48 Kobalt Tools Chevrolet SS. It was Kahne’s sixth top-10 finish in 12 races at Kansas Speedway and his fifth top-10 finish of the 2013 season.

Kurt Busch fought through handling problems to post a 15th-place finish in Sunday’s STP 400 Sprint Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway.

Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) STP 400 at Kansas Speedway was won by polesitter Matt Kenseth. This was Kenseth's second win and the fourth top ten finish for Kenseth since joining Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR). Kenseth lead four times for 163 laps.

We were running in the top five. We had good speed. I think we would have finished in the top five. We had a shot at it. The No. 17 had gotten his car really, really good; so (Ricky) Stenhouse was probably the strongest car that I saw at the end of the race. The No. 20 (Matt Kenseth) was pretty good too.”

Matt Kenseth earned his second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) victory of the season on Sunday afternoon at Kansas Speedway.

JOEY LOGANO – No. 22 AAA Ford Fusion – WHAT HAPPENED? “I watched the 18. He was spinning out and I saw it the whole time. I saw he got loose and thought, ‘OK, he’s gonna come back across,’ and he didn’t. It looked like he was gonna stay up there because he kind of slapped the wall with the right side after he hit it the first time, so I’m like, ‘All right, I’m gonna gun it and get by him here,’ and as soon as I committed to that I saw him start coming back down."
