Changes to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car and the Kansas Speedway racing surface should combine for a fast and fun race weekend. That's what David Gilliland, driver of the No. 38 Long John Silver's Ford, believes.

David Reutimann and the No. 83 Dr. Pepper Toyota team finished 24th at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday night. Running one of the best cars they have had all season, the team had a competitive race logging laps inside the top 20 before being caught off the lead lap to finish the event in the 24th position.

Johnson took sixth in the NRA 500 at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday night and held on to the lead in the Sprint Cup point standings. He leads Brad Keselowski by nine points.
