Growth Energy’s American Ethanol brand will again be the title sponsor for Iowa Speedway’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, the American Ethanol 200, on Saturday evening, July 13. The event on the Newton facility’s 7/8-mile, Rusty Wallace designed tri-oval will feature up to 34 trucks in a 200-lap, high-speed duel.

The Sprint Unlimited will receive the green flag Saturday night to officially kick off Speed Weeks at the Daytona International Speedway. This special invitational event will be the first official sign that says NASCAR 2013 has arrived.

Using the biggest race of the year as a backdrop, NASCAR, Swan Racing and two-time Daytona 500 champion Michael Waltrip announced today a special tribute to raise awareness and contributions for the Sandy Hook School Support Fund.

Earnhardt Jr. and JR Motorsports announced today the birth of Dirty Mo Radio, an online home for radio-style podcasts centrally themed around NASCAR’s 10-time most popular driver. Dirty Mo Radio will be based at Earnhardt Jr.’s official site, www.DaleJr.com, but its podcasts will also be available free-of-charge on common podcasting outlets such as iTunes.

The 2013 NASCAR Media Day took place Thursday with drivers making the rounds between print, radio, television and other mediums. Numerous Ford drivers were part of the day’s first session, including defending champion Brad Keselowski, new teammate Joey Logano and Roush Fenway Racing driver Greg Biffle.

It was announced today that Danica Patrick will pilot Turner Scott Motorsports' fourth entry in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at Daytona International Speedway. Patrick, who will be a full-time Rookie of the Year candidate in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) in 2013, will be behind the wheel of the No. 34 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet Camaro in the season-opening DRIVE4COPD 300. Veteran crew chief Mike Greci will be calling the shots from atop the pit box.

In January, Michael Waltrip addressed the media and, with a big smile on his face, said "this is breaking news: we don't have any news. There's really nothing new or different from 2012. Man, are we happy about that."

David Ragan and Front Row Motorsports will have a doctor in the house at the Daytona 500. The Detail Doctor, the vinyl, leather and plastic "As Seen on TV" car restorer will be the primary sponsor of Ragan's No. 34 Ford for NASCAR's season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway.

When Michael Waltrip takes to the track this coming Daytona Speedweeks, it'll be a memorable weekend. The two-time Daytona 500 champion has put together a deal with Swan Racing to try and qualify for this year's Daytona 500.

The revolutionary product will be an associate sponsor on the No. 95 Ford Fusion with driver Scott Speed for selected NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) races this year, including the season-opening Daytona 500 on Feb. 24 at the Daytona International Speedway.
