Looking to improve on a successful first season, SR² Motorsports announced today it has expanded its role in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in its second year. The Buford, Ga.-based organization with its shop in Mooresville N.C. will field three full-time teams in 2013, including the newly-purchased Nationwide Series operation of MacDonald Motorsports. The attained new team includes cars, equipment and owner points of the former No. 81 team.

DuPont has been a familiar sponsor in the NASCAR garage area since Gordon made his debut during the 1992 season finale at the Hooters 500 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in what was Richard Petty's final race as a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competitor.

Petty Holdings, LLC. has renewed its partnership with Daytona International Speedway designating Richard Petty Driving Experience as the exclusive consumer NASCAR ride-and-drive program at the “World Center of Racing.” The multi-year agreement also includes Petty’s newly launched Exotic Driving Experience (EDE). Financial terms were not disclosed.

Fans looking for a behind-the-scenes peek to the NASCAR action at the SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500™ on March 3 at Phoenix International Raceway, will now have an opportunity to enjoy an enhanced experience with their ‘Pre-Race Pit Pass’.

The Carlyle Group, one of the world's largest and most successful investment firms with a portfolio of businesses that includes Hertz Rental Car, Allison Transmission and Dunkin' Donuts, announced today that it has acquired DuPont's paint business. Although the people, products and technologies will remain the same, the paint business, which sponsors the No. 24 Chevrolet of Hendrick Motorsports and driver Jeff Gordon in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, has been rebranded as Axalta Coating Systems.

In what was an utterly dominating season, that saw Dalton Baldwin visit victory lane a total of 34 times after starting from the pole an outstanding 35 times in the 60 points races held, DB sat on top of the points standings in all 3 series.

The U.S. Air Force will once again partner with Richard Petty Motorsports to connect with America's best and brightest young adults. The U.S. Air Force will serve as an associate sponsor on Aric Almirola's No. 43 Ford for the entire 2013 season and as a primary sponsor at the Memorial Day weekend race at Charlotte Motor Speedway and the Fourth of July weekend race at Daytona International Speedway.

Established in 2009 by one of the most respected crew chiefs in NASCAR, Tommy Baldwin Racing, (TBR), has been a character study in hard work, patience and squeezing a dollar. As their operation heads into 2013, it appears that the effort may finally be paying off for them.
