No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota driver Clint Bowyer enters Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway knowing that winning at the Brickyard would not only be a career highlight, but would also likely punch his ticket to the 2012 Chase for the Sprint Cup.

EGR has made 27 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS), boasting three poles (2010, 2007 and 2004) and a one-two start in 2007. Along with starting well, EGR has finished well, earning one win with Jamie McMurray in 2010, six top-five and nine top-10 finishes.

“Indy is a fast, flat racetrack and it’s very important to be able to get into the corners well there. Having the Ford power under the hood will help us get down the straightaways which is also crucial for a fast lap at Indy. Approaching the Indianapolis Motor Speedway race weekend, JTG Daugherty Racing announced today significant changes that include a new general manager and crew chief change for the No. 47 single-car NASCAR Sprint Cup Series operation.
