No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota driver Clint Bowyer enters Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway knowing that winning at the Brickyard would not only be a career highlight, but would also likely punch his ticket to the 2012 Chase for the Sprint Cup.

EGR has made 27 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS), boasting three poles (2010, 2007 and 2004) and a one-two start in 2007. Along with starting well, EGR has finished well, earning one win with Jamie McMurray in 2010, six top-five and nine top-10 finishes.

The NASCAR Nationwide Series will make an historic stop this weekend as the series visits Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the first time. After years of running the NASCAR Nationwide Series at the cross-town short track, Indianapolis Raceway Park, the series will move to the famed and hallowed grounds of IMS for the first time in 2012.
