Penske Racing driver AJ Allmendinger requested to have his "B'' sample be tested after he was suspended by NASCAR just 90 minutes before the Coke Zero 400 for failing a random drug test.

Granted, you had to wait until lap 82 to see the first yellow light moment but they came pretty frequently after that.

Dodge’s Brad Keselowski finished second in last year’s fall event at NHMS. With the finish in the first race of the Chase, he moved up to third in the point standings, just three behind the leader. This year, Keselowski is ninth in the season standings, the highest he has been this season.

In 84 starts at the 1.058-mile oval, Childress also boasts two pole awards, 14 top-five and 32 top-10 finishes with nine different drivers including Dale Earnhardt, Mike Skinner, Harvick, Gordon, Jeff Green, Steve Park, Dave Blaney, Bowyer and Jeff Burton.

Citing the opportunity to take advantage of additional track time, Tommy Baldwin Racing via a collaborative agreement with Stewart-Haas Racing will field a car in the Oct. 21 Hollywood Casino 400 for Danica Patrick to complete her 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series 10-race schedule.

The U.S Army will not continue its sponsorship with Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) in the No.39 car driven by Ryan Newman in 2013, ending a 10 year relationship.
