NASCAR Cup Series

The last few weeks have been tough on Kurt Busch. From struggles with performance, saying the wrong things and getting suspended, he finally had a nice Sunday drive with no controversy.

Three former winners of the Save Mart 350 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Sonoma showed their expertise again when Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, and Jimmie Johnson finished today’s race in second, third, and fifth-place, respectively; giving Team Chevy three of the Top-5 spots in today’s finishing order.

Camry driver Clint Bowyer earned his first victory of the season -- as well as his first win driving a Camry -- in Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at the road course in Sonoma, Calif.

Just when it appeared the weekend couldn't get any worse for Regan Smith, the Furniture Row Racing driver took the final blow on the final lap in Sunday's Sprint Cup event at the road course in Sonoma.

Clint Bowyer held off Tony Stewart and won Sunday’s Sprint Cup Series Toyota/Save Mart 350 race at Sonoma, CA. This was Bowyer’s first win of the season and the first win since joining Michael Waltrip Racing (MWR).

JEFF GORDON, NO. 24 DRIVE TO END HUNGER CHEVROLET – FINISHED 6TH: ON TODAY'S RACE: "We went about a half-of-a lap too far there on that one run. I think we made the car a little bit better, and just used a little bit more fuel in that second run, and ran out unfortunately. It never fails, you run out just as you pass pit entrance."

NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr. on his win last week at Michigan: “The win itself was great and fun. I wish I could’ve won a lot more races in the last four years so this win wasn’t such a big deal. It is fun to walk around…and see all those people get excited over something your group did.”

Clint Bowyer driver for Michael Waltrip Racing (MWR) took the win after a green-white-checkered finish today at Sonoma California.

MARCOS AMBROSE, No. 9 Stanley Ford Fusion (Finished 8th) – “We really missed it. I just feel bad for my Stanley team. We missed it bad and we did good to recover and get a top-10 out of it."

Left and right turns are on the menu this week as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series makes its yearly stop in California Wine Country. Sonoma is the spot for this week's 24th Annual Toyota/Save Mart 350, a place very special to a guy who grew up on the high speed esses of Watkins Glen International.
