Nearly 2 million votes have been cast in the 2012 Sprint Fan Vote for one driver to gain entry into the prestigious NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race this Saturday, May 19, at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Sprint (NYSE: s) announced today that Waterford, Mich., singer-songwriter and Sprint customer Tony Lucca will perform the national anthem before the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race on Saturday, May 19, at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Pocono Raceway today added Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Kellogg’s Ford for Roush Fenway Racing, to their list of driver ticket packages being offered for the Pocono 400 race weekend occurring June 8th-10th.

Pocono Raceway has partnered with Barley Creek Brewing Co. to bring an infield Wiffle ball field to “The Tricky Triangle” during both NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race weekends this summer. Participation at ‘Barley Creek Field’ will be free for all infield patrons, and those 21 years of age or older will have the opportunity to purchase select craft beers from the Tannersville, PA-based brewery, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting United Way of Monroe County.

Chevrolet today announced the return of a V-8 powered, rear-wheel-drive performance sedan to the U.S. lineup, the Chevrolet SS. The SS will also be Chevrolet’s next NASCAR Sprint Cup racecar and will debut in its race configuration at the 2013 Daytona 500.
