EXPRESS NOTES: Phoenix Recap: Denny Hamlin drove the #11 FedEx Freight Toyota Camry to a 12th-place finish in Sunday’s Kobalt Tools 500 at Phoenix International Raceway, the penultimate race of the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season and Round 9 of the Chase for the championship.

Racing legend and St. Louis, Missouri native Rusty Wallace, will be honored by his hometown this Wednesday, as an inductee into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame.

Edwards chased Kasey Kahne to the finish at Phoenix, but had to settle for the runner-up spot in the Kobalt Tools 500. Edwards remained on top in the Sprint Cup point standings and will take a three-point lead over Tony Stewart to Homestead.
