Paul Menard, No. 27 Schrock/Menards Chevrolet was the fastest Chevrolet in qualifying today at Kansas Speedway, securing the sixth starting position for Sunday's Hollywood Casino 400.

TALK ABOUT YOUR QUALIFYING LAP OUT THERE. "Well, it was a really good lap. I think what I really would rather talk about is how slow we were when we unloaded off the truck. It was quite amazing. We were 35th or 37th when we unloaded off the truck today."

"After the struggle of last week, which really wasn't a struggle, we ran great and had a fluke problem, but after that it's easy to look back and be disappointed."

Greg Biffle turned a lap of 30.88 (174.887 mph) around the 1.5-mile tri-oval of Kansas Speedway in Friday afternoon’s qualifying session to earn the pole for Sunday’s 400-mile Sprint Cup race at the venue.

TALK A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR QUALIFYING RUN. "This is I think the best we have every qualified here so I am not going to act like I am frustrated about it. I would obviously like to be on the pole but I didn't think we would be this good coming out of practice."

BRAD KESELOWSKI (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger R/T) Qualified 12th "It wasn't a great lap for the Miller Lite Dodge. I hope we can get a top-15 starting spot out of it. I thought that we would have a little bit more to be honest. "

Greg Biffle, No. 16 3M Sherwin Williams Ford (Qualified 1st) "I think that will hold up. The track has a decent amount of grip and I was just a little off all day on our qualifying runs. I hadn't been real comfortable with the car yet but right there the car stuck really nice. You always wish you could do it again. It will be a good starting spot for us."
