Biffle on Phoenix: “I really can’t wait to go to Phoenix this weekend. I love that track and I love going out west. We’ve run well there but we don’t have a win there yet in the cup car."

Jeff Gordon and the No. 24 team are already thinking about changes entering this weekend's Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR).

Johnson has made 15 Sprint Cup Series starts at Phoenix International Raceway, where he has earned four wins, 10 top-five and 13 top-10 finishes.

Well the long awaited start to the season is in the history books. The racing was long hard and not overly exciting at times. History did indeed repeat itself. But not the history folks believed would repeat.

It was uplifting to see the Wood family in victory lane once again. And they were all there—Leonard and Glen and their sons Len and Eddie.

NASCAR officially opened their 2011 season with the annual Daytona Speedweeks. By the time the checkers fell on the running of the 53d annual Daytona 500 last Sunday, that annual February effort was all about the presence of superstars.

So, what did we learn at the Daytona 500? Well, we learned that if the rest of the races this season are comparable to the first, 2011 will be one hell of a year in NASCAR.
