Matt Kenseth returns to Dover International Speedway this weekend, a track where he’s seen unprecedented success in 38 starts at the 1-mile track.

Stenhouse has 12 career Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) starts at Dover with an average starting position of 16.7 and average finishing position of 20.4.

Chase Elliott on advancing to the Round of 12: “I felt like I was just kind of playing defense at the 'roval.' It just wasn’t worth busting our butts and not making it through to the next round when we had a little bit of cushion. So, I am just glad we are moving on and I am looking forward to the next three because there are some good tracks for us.”

The rules package for Speedweeks and the 61st annual DAYTONA 500 on Sunday, Feb. 17 will remain the same as past years with the use of a restrictor plate and tapered spacer to reduce the amount of air flow into the engine. The 2019 rules package will be implemented for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 on July 6 where cars will utilize only a smaller tapered spacer to restrict air flow into the engine, negating the need for a restrictor plate, which was first introduced in 1987.

Dover International Speedway, site of Sunday’s opening playoff race in the Round of 12, has been a sweet spot venue for Martin Truex Jr., who regards the 1-mile oval as his first home track.

The Round of 12 begins this weekend at Dover International Speedway for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series while the NASCAR XFINITY Series will trim its Playoff-contending field from 12 to 8 with an elimination race. Here’s a look at where Ford stands in both series.
