Brad Keselowski was sidelined by an accident during the final stage of the Gander Outdoors 400 Sunday afternoon at Pocono Raceway. Keselowski was pressuring Jimmie Johnson for 12th position when the No. 2 Alliance Truck Parts Ford Fusion snapped sideways at the entrance to Turn 2. Keselowski spun and made contact with the outside wall, causing considerable damage to the rear of his Ford Fusion. He made it back to the pit area where the Alliance Truck Parts team hastily made repairs. But despite their efforts, the damage to severe for Keselowski to continue. He was credited with a 38th-place finish and is seventh in the MENCS driver standings, 247 points behind the leader.

Camry driver Kyle Busch was victorious in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race at Pennsylvania’s Pocono Raceway on Sunday afternoon.

However, Busch's experience and powerful No. 18 Caramel M&M's Toyota Camry was just too much on this race day.  Drawing daylight between himself and Suarez, the 33-year-old Las Vegas, Nevada native drove his way to his sixth win of the 2018 MENCS season.

KEVIN HARVICK, No. 4 Mobil 1 Ford Fusion - FINISHED 4th “It was eventful. I think we went to the back twice and made our way back to the front each time. We made a good race out of it but it is hard to swallow on a day like that when our Mobil 1 Ford was the class of the field. You never know what is going to happen on these days. It is hard to put them together and you win some and lose some.”

Allmendinger will fulfill the No. 23 entry along side with Justin Haley that will be in the No. 24 for the Statesville-based team.

Post-qualifying tech dealt a Saturday shake-up to the starting lineup for Sunday’s Gander Outdoors 400 after the cars driven by the five of the top six qualifiers — including the initial front row of Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch — failed inspection at Pocono Raceway.

I just can’t get a feel for what we got going on here this weekend. I’m not sure what exactly I’m missing, but I’m hoping that going to bed tonight and waking up at a different day is going to help things out, so, you know, we got – I think we overachieved there in qualifying and got a good starting spot – certainly more than what we had anticipated going into the day, but then I mean we’ve got to race what we got right now for tomorrow, so we’ll see what we’ve got tomorrow.”
