A Better Darlington… Darlington Raceway’s $7 million facility enhancement project has taken major strides over the past few months with many new improvements showcased to the media for the first time on Friday, June 29.

AmericanMuscle’s (AM’s) 10th Annual Mustang show (AM2018) at Maple Grove Raceway (MGR) in Mohnton, Pennsylvania was a testament to how far the shows have come. From the first one with 50 Mustangs in the office parking lot to, ten years later, over 2,300 Mustangs and well over 8K people in attendance at MGR; AM2018 has proven to be one of the most successful Mustang shows in the entire country. Mustangs from as far north as Ontario, Canada to the southern Florida panhandle were present at the charity event, with a total amount of$364,000 donated to Make-A-Wish® (MAW)which includes previous AM shows and Turn5 donations over the years.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will all be in action at Chicagoland Speedway this week. Check out the full schedule below, subject to change.

Last week it was Sonoma, a road course set in a beautiful background with curves and hills and places one could speed up and those where one had to slow down. This week it is Chicago. It is round.

Chevrolet leads all other manufacturers with eight (8) victories at the 1.5-mile, Chicagoland Speedway. Chevrolet has powered five (5) different drivers and teams, as well as, three (Monte Carlo, Monte Carlo SS and Impala) different nameplates to Victory Lane at the Joliet track.

Roush Fenway Racing heads north to Chi-Town for a full weekend of Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) and NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) action at the 1.5-mile Chicagoland Speedway. Jack Roush’s Fords have totaled 24 top-five and 47 top-10 finishes dating back 17 years.

With the return to Chicagoland Speedway also comes the return of NBC Sports to the broadcast schedule…and a face very familiar to all NASCAR fans will be wearing a rookie stripe as a member of the on-air talent team.

Richard Childress Racing's Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series history at Chicagoland Speedway ... Richard Childress Racing has two victories at Chicagoland Speedway with Kevin Harvick's back-to-back wins in 2001 and 2002. In 54 starts at the 1.5-mile suburban Chicago tri-oval, Richard Childress Racing teams have a combined 10 top-five, 19 top-10 finishes and one pole award with Jeff Burton in 2006.

KAHNE BY THE NUMBERS: In 14 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series career starts at Chicagoland, Kasey Kahne has an average start of 13.4 and an average finish of 17.7. He’s completed 3,473 of 3,744 (92.8 percent) career laps and has led for a total of 12 laps. Kahne has earned two top-five and four top-10 finishes at the 1.5-mile track located in Joliet, IL.
