Considering all the issues that Martin Truex Jr. had to deal with he still managed to bring home a solid fourth-place finish under extremely hot and humid conditions Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway.

Kyle Busch parked his damaged car at the start/finish line, climbed out and retrieved the checkered flag, to a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance. In response, he turned to the NBC cameraman and gave a "boo-hoo" gesture.

Kyle Larson was Chevrolet’s highest-finishing Camaro ZL1 in Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race at Chicagoland Speedway ending the day with a second-place finish.

KYLE LARSON, NO. 42 CREDIT ONE BANK CAMARO ZL1 – Finished 2nd - I KNOW YOU MIGHT BE UPSET, BUT YOU SAID IT WAS FUN: “Oh man, I’m not upset. I had an opportunity there to slide in front of him and I figured I wouldn’t clear him or I would allow him to drive back underneath me. So, I tried to get to his door and you know I opened the door for him to retaliate into (Turn) 3. I thought it was free game."

A total of 19 Team Chevy drivers will start the Overton’s 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race at Chicagoland Speedway (Joliet, IL.). The 267-lap 400.5-mile contest around the 1.5-mile D-shaped oval is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m., ET on Sunday, July 1. CHASE ELLIOTT, NO. 9 NAPA AUTO PARTS CAMARO ZL1 – Qualified 3rd - NOTE: Elliott finished 10th in the Overtons 300 NASCAR Xfinity race and subsequently received fluids at the Infield Care Center due to the oppressive heat conditions. PAUL MENARD, No. 21 Menards/Sylvania Ford Fusion -- Qualified 1st - “My guys did a hell of a job today. We weren’t very good in practice. We did a mock run that was so loose that we had to abort it and never really got a true mock run. We had speed and all through those rounds we got a little too loose in round two and we adjusted for it. Round three drove like rails. It was good.”

DANIEL SUÁREZ, No. 19 PEAK Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing - Can you talk about your process to citizenship in the U.S.? “I think now that I’m living that process, I understand why a lot of people don’t do it and do it the difficult way because it’s extremely expensive, extremely long and a lot of people will imagine that for me, I’m here and I pay taxes and everything that it would be easier, but it’s a pain in the butt to do it and it’s extremely expensive."

MARTIN TRUEX JR., No. 78 Bass Pro Shops/5-hour ENERGY Toyota Camry, Furniture Row Racing - What is it about this track that you’re so good at and can we give the trophy now? “Well, you can. It’s probably not going to be as simple. I don’t know, this track has always been really good for me. Obviously the last two years, it’s been really good. I had to overcome a lot of issues here both years it seems like in order to get the win."
