Shaking with joy as he climbed out of his car, Alex Bowman shook hands with and hugged team owner Rick Hendrick after winning the pole in the same race he failed to qualify for three years earlier.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series cars were finally back on track this morning at Daytona International Speedway. Starting off with the Advance Auto Parts Clash practice, Ryan Blaney led the charts with a top speed of 199.601 in his new Menards No. 12 Ford Fusion for Team Penske.

Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 41 Monster Energy/Haas Automation Ford Fusion, kicked off Daytona speedweeks with a visit to the media center to discuss his reign as defending Daytona 500 champion and more.

DANICA PATRICK, NO. 7 GODADDY CHEVROLET CAMARO ZL1, met with members of the media at Daytona International Speedway and discussed competing in her final Daytona 500, what she will be doing after Sunday is complete, her thoughts on her new team and many other topics. Full Transcript:

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will hit Daytona International Speedway in February for the highly anticipated Speedweeks to kick off the 2018 season for all three national series. Check out the tentative full schedule below, subject to change.

William Byron topped the chart in second Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice at Daytona International Speedway. The driver of the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet with a time of 44.625 and a speed of 201.681 mph.

Erik Jones topped the chart in first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice at Daytona International Speedway. The driver of the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota was the fastest with a time of 45.058 and a speed of 199.743 mph.

Ryan Blaney topped the chart in final Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice for the Advance Auto Parts Clash at Daytona International Speedway. The driver of the No. 12 Team Penske Ford was the fastest with a time of 45.090 and a speed of 199.601 mph.

Camrys in the Clash… Four Camry drivers are eligible to compete in the Clash at Daytona International Speedway Sunday afternoon – Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Erik Jones and Martin Truex Jr. Toyota drivers have won four of the last six exhibition races, with two triumphs by Hamlin (2014 and 2016) and one by former Camry driver Matt Kenseth (2015). Busch won the pre-season event with the Camry in 2012 and was the highest-finishing Toyota driver in the event in 2017 with a runner-up result.
