Clint Bowyer, driver of the No. 14 Mobil 1/Rush Truck Centers Ford Fusion, is 10th in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series point standings going into tomorrow’s Brickyard 400. He stopped by the infield media center after final practice to talk about this weekend’s race.

DALE EARNHARDT, JR., NO. 88 NATIONWIDE CHEVROLET SS, met with members of the media at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and discussed, how he is handling his final season, competing in his final race at Indy, the importance of social media and many other topics.

DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 FedEx Cares Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing - How did you unveil this new FedEx Cares paint scheme? “Yeah, it was – she’s (Rachee Powell) a local member here and, like I said, she donated a lot of her time. She came to Charlotte a few months ago and helped the creative designer who does our normal paint schemes and myself come up with something she liked and everything and so it turned out great and obviously very fast and we just hope to continue that on for the rest of the day and tomorrow.”

Erik Jones topped the chart in final Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

While Kyle Busch has amassed a higher win total at three other tracks and has led more laps at 19, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is statistically his most consistent race track.

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 Skittles Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing - How do you feel about your car this weekend? “Couldn’t tell you. I don’t even see it until tomorrow. Certainly we’ve been really good here the last couple of years and being able to score the wins in the Brickyard 400 has been extra special. Certainly there’s no other race I’ve won probably that’s been any bigger than the Brickyard 400."

While the track is best known for the Indianapolis 500, NASCAR has made its mark there as well. Did you know that “kissing the bricks” was started by Dale Jarrett? In 1996, after winning the Brickyard 400, Jarrett and his crew chief, Todd Parrott, paid tribute to the track’s history by kneeling down and kissing the “Yard of Bricks.”
