CHRIS BUESCHER QUOTES: FIRST CUP SERIES ALL-STAR RACE: "We tried really hard to get into the All-Star Race last year," Buescher said. "And just weren’t able to do it. But with that win at Pocono last season we’re qualified in so we’re taking what we've got and we're ready to go racing. We get to qualify with the other 'all stars,' which is always interesting with the no speed limit pit road qualifying format. It’s going to be a busy weekend. It’s going to be exciting racing for a million dollars for the first time. It’s an awesome opportunity and I’m just happy to be a part of it."

Michael McDowell and Leavine Family Racing (LFR) are excited to race at Charlotte Motor Speedway two weeks in a row, just after securing their best finish of the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) season.

JTG Daugherty Racing announced today that the No. 37 Chevrolet SS driven by Chris Buescher will feature a unique paint scheme at Charlotte Motor Speedway with Kleenex and Disney•Pixar’s Cars 3 in a one-race collaboration during Memorial Day weekend.

Did you know Darrell Waltrip driving a Chevrolet Monte Carlo for Hendrick Motorsports won the inaugural All-Star race May 25, 1985. Chevrolet has gone on to win All-Star events with multiple brands include the Chevy Lumina, Monte Carlo SS, Impala and most recently the Chevy SS.

Bayne will make his third start in the All-Star Open on Saturday evening. Bayne raced his way into the All-Star Race in 2016 after winning the first Stage of the All-Star Open in a photo finish with Chase Elliott.

Shooting for an All-Star Spot: “The All-Star race weekend is a little more low key,” Allmendinger said. “You go out there and have some fun. For us, right now, we will have to race our way in with our Kroger ClickList Chevy. You know going into it that’s going to be part of the challenge."

Ryan Blaney and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane team head into the Monster Energy All-Star weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway needing a stage win in the preliminary Monster Energy Open to earn a berth in the main event.

Pocono Raceway and JR Motorsports will partner for a host of cool, fan-focused events in 2017, including the JR Nation Block Party prior to the Pocono 400 on June 9. This marks the second year of the partnership.

Martin Truex Jr. is prepping for two all-star events this week, both being conducted in North Carolina,1500 miles from Denver where his NASCAR Cup Series team is based.
