TriStar Motorsports announces it will return to competition in NASCAR's premier series fielding one full-time entry in the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series for the 2017 season.

NFL great LaDainian Tomlinson has been named the Honorary Starter for the 59th DAYTONA 500, the opening race of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season on Feb. 26 (TV – FOX, FOX Deportes; Radio – MRN Radio, SiriusXM) at Daytona International Speedway.

Talladega Superspeedway is excited to announce that legendary Southern rocker – Charlie Daniels – and The Charlie Daniels Band will perform as the headliner for the traditional Saturday Night Infield Concert, May 6, as part of the much-anticipated motorsports triple-header weekend (May 5-7), featuring the GEICO 500.

Dover International Speedway is once again hosting a special event for families of children on the autism spectrum. On Sunday, June 4, during the “AAA 400 Drive for Autism” Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race, Autism Awareness Day at the Races will provide families with a sensory-friendly environment to enjoy 400 laps of North America’s top motorsports series.

After missing the last 18 races of the 2016 season while recovering from concussion-like symptoms, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was back on the track Tuesday at Phoenix International Raceway to participate in a two-day test for Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series teams. It’s the first time he’s been on a track after being medically cleared to race last December following a private test session conducted at Darlington Raceway.

Jeffrey Earnhardt will make his first career start in the Daytona 500 on Feb. 26 (2 p.m. ET on FOX, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) for Circle Sport w/The Motorsports Group, the team posted on its Twitter account Monday night.

While Punxsutawney Phil is deciding whether there is another six weeks of winter, Richmond International Raceway (RIR) will host an open house for fans to select and purchase their seats for the 2017 NASCAR season. Tickets for both the April and September NASCAR weekends go on sale to the public at RIR and RIR.com on Thursday, February 2.

Any NASCAR fan would jump at the chance to go wheel to wheel with one of their favorite drivers; SunnyD and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. are making that happen for a few lucky fans this season.

Teammates Kyle Larson and Jamie McMurray are part of the two-car Chip Ganassi Chevrolet team, No.’s 1 and 42. Daytona is just around the corner and both drivers are ready for the coming season but a little conversation about the new format is on their minds.

One thing is certain. Team Penske teammates Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano are sure-fire bets to be championship contenders in 2017. They sat down with the media at the CMS Media Tour Wednesday and gave their thoughts on a variety of subjects.
