Alex Bowman, subbing for Dale Earnhardt, Jr., powered the No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolet SS to a fifth-place starting position for Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway, the halfway point of the 2016 Chase for the Sprint Cup Series championship campaign. Bowman led a five-car Chevrolet SS contingent in third and final round of qualifying for the 267-lap/400.5-mile race.

ALEX BOWMAN, NO. 88 NATIONWIDE CHEVROLET SS – Qualified 5th - ON QUALIFYING: “I’ve been really pleased with the car all day. The first round was a little bit nerve racking we were really loose kind of out of nowhere."
