The Round of 12 begins this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway with Team Penske drivers Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano still in contention for the championship. Both drivers have won the Bank of America 500 with Keselowski taking the checkered flag in 2013 and Logano last season.

Running a solid 12th place after 100 of 400 laps of the Citizen Soldier 400 at Dover International Speedway, Ryan Blaney and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford blew the right-front tire and made contact with the Turn Three wall forcing them to the garage area for extensive repairs and an eventual 38th-place finish.

Qualifying for Sunday’s Citizen Solider 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway has been cancelled due to persistent rainfall. The last race in the Chase for the championship Round of 16, field will be set per the provisions set forth in the NASCAR rulebook. The starting grid is determined based on the current 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series owner’s points.
