The No. 42 Target Chevrolet SS of Kyle Larson led the way in the first session with a fast lap of 95.141 mph/75.299 seconds. In the afternoon Dale Earnhardt, Jr. piloting the No. 88 Axalta Chevy SS topped the leader board by laying down a speed of 95.298 mph/75.175 seconds.
