Smith, president and CEO of Food City, announced that Wallace will give the command to fire engines for this Sunday's Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

CARSTAR North America, the continent’s largest network of collision repair shops and a member of the Charlotte-headquartered Driven Brands family, will make its debut in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Kansas Speedway this May.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Matt Kenseth and NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Dakoda Armstrong both made appearances in the Richmond area to get fans excited about next weekend’s NASCAR doubleheader at America’s Premier Short Track. But not just any fans. NASCAR’s youngest fans.

This week, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to my part of the country - Bristol, Tennessee - to run the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. The 500-lap race on the .533 mile (.858 km) concrete short track will be the eighth race of the 2016 season.

I get it. Some folks watch NASCAR for the wrecks. They probably do not watch often, maybe taking in the action from Daytona or Talladega, where one bad move causes a whole lot of bad tidings. I love those tracks, too, but I love watching people doing exciting things that I simply cannot.
