Brad Keselowski, No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion (Finished 1st) – “This is really, really great. It seemed like there were plenty of challenges, whether it was pit road or the weather or cautions. They threw everything they had at us today but this Miller Lite Ford team was too strong and we were able to fight them off and get to victory lane.”

Matt Kenseth topped the chart in final Sprint Cup Series practice. The driver of the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota was the fastest in the final practice session with a time of 28.502 and a speed of 189.460 mph.

Carl Edwards topped the chart in second Sprint Cup Series practice in a backup car. The driver of the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota was the fastest in the second practice session with a time of 28.189 and a speed of 191.564 mph.

For the second straight season, Roush Fenway Racing will give fans an inside look at an often overlooked part of the #NASCARGoesWest trip for teams by riding in the No. 16 hauler from Las Vegas to Phoenix. The team will document the 300-mile journey across its robust social media channels, encouraging fan interaction throughout the voyage.

Kurt Busch captured the pole for Sunday’s Kobalt 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) by posting a new track record of 196.328 mph in his No. 41 Monster Energy/Haas Automation Chevrolet SS. It was Busch’s second consecutive pole for 2016, the 21st of his career, and second at his hometown track.

I felt like that last run I just – I told Todd that our car was close I just had to want it more. I pushed as hard as I could and got a little tight in one and two and that was enough to give up that speed we needed to get the pole tonight. I am so proud of what this Pennzoil team has done to pick up over last week. Dang it. It is so close. It was a lot of fun out there tonight and we are looking forward to Sunday.”
