After starting the weekend off with the fourth overall fastest time in the first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) practice at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. hopes to have the same outcome after qualifying as 2013 when he captured his first NSCS pole award.

Kyle Larson topped the chart in the one practice session before qualifying. The driver of the No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet was the fastest in the first practice session with a time of 28.740 and a speed of 192.902 mph.
