CHASE ELLIOTT: It's definitely been busy I guess the past couple days, with everything on Sunday happening like it did, which is great. It was a good way to start things off for our entire team and for NAPA, their first year back in Cup, kind of, other than the five races we ran last year.

I think it is really cool and I am excited to get our car out of the museum and see our car again. What won last year is not going to win this year, whether it is what you do inside the car or the setup of the car. It is because the sport is always evolving and getting better. It is great but it is last year and we have to keep looking forward.”

Chase Elliott, son of NASCAR Hall of Famer “Awesome Bill from Dawsonville” Bill Elliott, visited Atlanta Motor Speedway, his home track on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series circuit, Monday, less than 24 hours after winning the Daytona 500 pole.

The return of NASCAR for 2016 was a smashing success. I mean, if smashing cars was the intent, they could not have done better. By the time the Sprint Unlimited, which is actually limited to 25 drivers, came to a conclusion, someone had tallied up that an estimated $2.5-million in damages had been racked up.

Daytona Success: Hamlin was victorious in Saturday night’s Sprint Unlimited exhibition race at Daytona International Speedway, leading a race-high 39 of 75 laps for his third-career win in the unofficial season opening event.
