News and notes: After coming off another solid performance at Bristol, Spencer Boyd and team are set to head to Virginia for some more short track action at Richmond Raceway. "I've had this track circled for a while," says Boyd. "One of my favorite racing memories of all time was running bumper to bumper with Dale Jr. there last year. I'm hoping between my previous experience at the track and our team's momentum from the last couple of weeks, we can put together a really solid run." Reed has competed at Richmond Raceway 10 times in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS). He made his first career NXS start at the track in 2013, earning a 16th-place finish. His best career finish at the track came in September 2013 when he finished ninth.

Ty Majeski got caught up in two early incidents during Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway, with the second dealing enough damage to his No. 60 SunnyD Ford Mustang to end his day at Lap 100 of the race. Majeski was scored with a 34th-place finish.

Ryan Reed was poised to earn his career best finish at Bristol Motor Speedway before a tire went flat on his No. 16 Drive Down A1C Lilly Diabetes Ford with only 12 laps remaining. Bristol has been Reed’s nemesis, but he was able to earn his best qualifying effort at the .0533-mile track of 12th and had a top-10 finish in his sights.

Ryan Preece won the Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon after leading 39 of 300 laps and winning stage two of the event. It was his first win of the 2018 season.
