Toyota Racing Weekly Preview – May 21 – 27, 2018

Toyota Gives Thanks This Memorial Day Weekend… Toyota will feature several military activations at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend in conjunction with the launch of this year’s NASCAR Salutes program. Five Tundras will be custom wrapped to showcase the five military branches and will act as additional grand marshal vehicles for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race with an attending general from each military branch driving them on the track. In addition, the names of six fallen military members will be highlighted on the windshield banners of the Camry pace cars and grand marshal Highlander vehicles. Prior to the race, 40 active military members will be paired with a driver during driver introductions with a magnet displayed on each ride-along Tundra with their name, rank and branch. Active and former military members will also receive admission to Toyota Owners Hub where they’ll receive refreshments, free giveaways and access to driver appearances.

Fatal Clothing to support Dylan Lupton in Charlotte Xfinity Series debut

Strengthening his relationship with California-based companies, NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Dylan Lupton (@LuptonDylan) announced today with JGL Racing that Fatal Clothing will support the team in Saturday afternoon’s Alsco 300 at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway.

GMS Racing NXS Charlotte Preview

Hooters will serve as primary sponsor for the No. 23 team at Charlotte Motor Speedway in honor of the restaurant chain’s 35th Anniversary and 22nd Annual Hooters International Pageant. The pageant will be held on Saturday, May 26 at zMAX Dragway beginning at 7 p.m. and will include a concert from country music singer-songwriter Jake Owen.

Roush Fenway Announces ‘Homecoming’; Fan Day Schedule Set for May 24

Roush Fenway Racing has released the schedule for its special ‘Homecoming’ edition of Fan Appreciation Day on Thursday, May 24. Roush Fenway Legends Mark Martin, Jeff Burton and Greg Biffle will join Matt Kenseth and legendary team owner and 2019 NASCAR Hall of Fame nominee Jack Roush and his current stable of NASCAR drivers including Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Trevor Bayne for the annual event at Roush’s World Headquarters in Concord, N.C.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Depart from your seat in front of the podium in the deadline room at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, take a right turn past the wall with four clocks and blue sound-proofing fabric, exit through the first door down the hall, go down four flights of stairs until you reach the ground, go straight for about 50 feet, and around the corner are two cars covered with tarps. Wait a few minutes and both Verizon IndyCar Series driver Conor Daly and NASCAR XFINITY Grand National Series driver Ryan Reed will uncover the cars to reveal a Lilly Diabetes-sponsored No. 17 Dale Coyne Racing Honda and a Lilly-Diabetes-sponsored Roush Fenway Racing Ford Mustang that Daly will drive at Road America.

Roush Fenway Racing to Field Three Cars at Road America

Roush Fenway Racing will field three Lilly Diabetes Ford Mustangs at Road America for the NASCAR Xfinity race on Saturday, August 25th.  Lilly Diabetes Drive Down A1C driver Ryan Reed will be joined by Wisconsin hometown driver Ty Majeski in the No. 60 and IndyCar driver Conor Daly will round out the trio behind the wheel of the No. 6.  Daly, like Reed, competes at the highest levels of racing while managing his Type 1 diabetes. The Xfinity race at Road America will be his NASCAR debut.  Majeski also has a close tie to the diabetes community as his grandfather has Type 2 diabetes.
