Richard Childress Racing announced its No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro SS entry for the 2018 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) will feature a talented multi-driver lineup. Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) drivers Austin Dillon and Ty Dillon, ARCA Racing Series competitor Shane Lee, second-generation racer Jeb Burton and two-time NXS winner Brendan Gaughan will all share time behind the wheel of the Camaro SS throughout the season.

I think it’s easy to kind of get in slumps at superspeedways that aren’t even your fault. We just don’t seem to get in those. I think nowadays especially it takes having really strong race cars, especially at plate races, you have to make a lot happen. You have to be able to make moves and be aggressive. If you don’t, if your race cars aren’t as good, you just can’t make it happen. Fortunately, we don’t have that problem at Roush. I don’t know if I love them or hate them because so much is out of your control, but certainly having some success there helps you smile when you think of them rather than frown.”

After partnering with Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) for three seasons in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS), DC Solar is moving to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) for the 2018 season as a primary partner with both Kyle Larson and Jamie McMurray. Wasting no time getting on track with Larson, the No. 42 Camaro will feature DC Solar as the primary partner for ‘The Clash at Daytona’, the season opening non-points race.

As for this season coming up, Truex landed a ride that he truly deserved. Considering that he has had an up and down career over the last several years with different teams, 2018 should be a terrific opportunity to showcase his talents.
