SAM HORNISH JR. TO DRIVE FOR TEAM PENSKE IN SELECT NASCAR XFINITY SERIES RACES

Veteran stock car and open-wheel driver Sam Hornish Jr. will return to Team Penske this summer to compete in select NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) races for the team, driving the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang. Hornish is currently scheduled to compete in both upcoming series events at Iowa Speedway (June 24 and July 29) and the NXS road course event at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (August 12).

"I have always enjoyed going to Michigan (International Speedway). The track has really started to age and take some character. With it being in Michigan there is going to be some weathering elements that are going to help that. Even though it's still a fairly new track, the groove is actually widening out considerably. It hasn't gotten bumpy which is nice and it's still glass smooth. It's great racing there and I think we will have ourselves a good little car."

Recap: Brad Keselowski used an impressive late-race drive to secure the win for the No. 22 SKF Ford Mustang team in the Pocono Green 250 at Pocono Raceway on Saturday afternoon.
