Dale’s Pale Ale, America’s first craft beer to be featured in a can, joins Elliott Sadler and the No. 1 team as primary sponsor for two NASCAR Xfinity Series races in 2017, JR Motorsports announced today. Sadler will drive the No. 1 Dale’s Pale Ale Chevrolet Camaro in races at Pocono Raceway (June 10) and Texas Motor Speedway (Nov. 4).

This weekend the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and the XFINITY Series.travel to Texas Motor Speedway. The drivers will practice on the newly repaved track for the first time Friday, April 7 in preparation for Saturday’s NXS My Bariatric Solutions 300 race and Sunday’s O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 event. Both races will be televised on FOX.

Prior to Texas Motor Speedway's inaugural season in 1997, Richard Childress, a former driver in NASCAR's top division, earned a pair of top-10 finishes at the now defunct Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas. RCR Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series teams boast an average starting position of 19.2, an average finishing position of 17th and have completed 31,363 of the 32,347 contested laps (97 percent) with 140 laps led at the 1.5-mile Fort Worth-based race track.

Smithley will be looking for more in Saturday’s My Bariatric Solutions 300 at Texas Motor Speedway, where he’ll drive the Flex Seal Chevrolet.

The race will be the first on the track’s repaved surface. The entire 1.5 miles of the track has been resurfaced, and track officials have reconfigured the banking in turns one and two from 24 degrees to 20.

The 1.5-mile track is very different from the last time the Xfinity Series raced there. The racing surface has been repaved, and turns one and two have been decreased in banking from 24 degrees to 20.

The three veteran Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) Camry drivers have multiple MENCS wins at Texas Motor Speedway … Busch won at the track in April 2013 and again last spring, while Denny Hamlin has swept both Texas Cup races in 2010 and Matt Kenseth won twice at the track prior to joining JGR and Toyota (April 2002, April 2011)

Ryan Reed will make his seventh NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend. In his six previous starts at the 1.5-mile track, Reed has finished 20th or above and has four top-15 finishes.
