Marcus Ericsson was the quickest of four Chip Ganassi Racing drivers in the top 10 Friday as the two-day NTT INDYCAR SERIES open test at The Thermal Club took the checkered flag.

Colton Herta paced a tight bunch of drivers at the top of the time sheets after the first day of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES open test Feb. 2 at The Thermal Club.

Will Power, No. 12 Verizon 5G Team Penske Chevrolet, led the Team Chevy contingent after two sessions completing Day One of Preseason Testing at The Thermal Club in the Coachella Valley just south of Palm Springs, California.

SANTINO FERRUCCI, NO. 14 AJ FOYT RACING CHEVROLET: “It's going to be weird because I actually haven't driven on a road course in INDYCAR in quite some time."

CALLUM ILOTT, NO. 77 JUNCOS-HOLLINGER RACING CHEVROLET: “Some big steps up. Hopefully that continues on the performance side as well. It looks really good, really professional so far, and I’m really impressed.”

JOSEF NEWGARDEN, NO. 2 TEAM PENSKE CHEVROLET: “Honestly, I don't feel that different leaving Laguna [Seca], where I was kind of at mentally there, my statements, what I was projecting."

PATO O’WARD, NO. 5 ARROW MCLAREN CHEVROLET: “I’m ready to get back driving and ripping around in my Indy car. It’s been long. Way too long."

RINUS VEEKAY, NO. 21 ED CARPENTER RACING CHEVROLET: “It's going according to my schedule like I’d hoped it to be. It's gone fast."

INDYCAR, with longtime partner IU Health, is rolling into its new season with a new mobile medical facility.
