For the second consecutive event, viewership of an NBCSN telecast of a Verizon IndyCar Series race showed a significant viewership gain over the 2014 race.
INDYCAR announced the following post-event infraction and manufacturer championship points updates from the ABC Supply Co. Inc. Wisconsin 250 at Milwaukee IndyFest, which was held July 12 at The Milwaukee Mile:
The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 has seen its championship decided by final margins of three and two points the last two years. As the 2015 season reaches the halfway mark, the trend looks to continue.
The Iowa Corn Indy 300 will mark the sixth event for Rahal Letterman Lanigan (RLL) Racing at Iowa Speedway. The best finish for the team is third in 2007 by Scott Sharp who also earned the top start for the team of fourth the same year. Prior to the 2015 event, the team prepared a total of seven entries for drivers Scott Sharp (2007), Jeff Simmons (2007), Ryan Hunter-Reay (2008), Takuma Sato (2012) Graham Rahal (2013-2014) and James Jakes (2013).
There have been eight different winners in 12 Verizon IndyCar Series races in 2015: Juan Pablo Montoya (Streets of St. Petersburg and Indianapolis 500), James Hinchcliffe (NOLA Motorsports Park), Scott Dixon (Streets of Long Beach and Texas Motor Speedway), Josef Newgarden (Barber Motorsports Park and Streets of Toronto), Will Power (Grand Prix of Indianapolis), Carlos Munoz (Raceway at Belle Isle-1), Sebastien Bourdais (Raceway at Belle Isle-2 and Milwaukee) and Graham Rahal (Auto Club Speedway).
The 2015 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 will conclude its annual western swing with the Velocity Prairie Thunder 250 on Wednesday at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
