Close to Home: Tracy Hines Ready for the Kokomo Klash

Kokomo Speedway is about 70 miles from Tracy Hines’ shop in New Castle, Ind., and while the quarter-mile is not technically his home track, it might as well have been this year. The veteran has made nine starts at the venue, picking up eight finishes of sixth or better, of which seven have been top-five performances.

Taylor Ferns Heads to Indiana this Week for the Kokomo Klash

When listing some of her favorite race tracks, Taylor Ferns is quick to mention Kokomo Speedway. The Northern Indiana oval holds a special to place to her, after she raced wheel-to-wheel for the lead with open wheel legend Dave Darland for a number of laps at the track last season, turning many heads and gaining a great deal of respect in the process.

PANEL RESCINDS LEVI JONES PENALTIES

The Chief Judge of the USAC Court of Appeals has rescinded the penalties assessed to driver Levi Jones and car entrant Tony Stewart Racing as a result of an incident arising from the August 25 “Sprint Car Smackdown” USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car race at Kokomo, Ind. which also involved driver Jon Stanbrough.

Nate Caruth Showcased Impressive Run At Winchester 400

Nate Caruth had an eventful conclusion to his 2012 rookie ARCA/CRA Super Series season. Caruth said, "This has been a great year with Lorz Motorsports in our #76 Ford. We had an exciting rookie chase, and enjoyed ending our season at such a historical race and track." The Iowa native competed in his first Winchester 400 race; but Caruth is no new comer to the high banks of Winchester Speedway.
