David Gravel has acquired a pretty diverse skill set competing with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions over the last four seasons. One of the key attributes he has learned is how to be versatile. After all, the series races on a variety of tracks ranging from tight quarter- and third-miles bullrings to sprawling, high speed half-miles.

With just two races remaining in his rookie season on the ARCA Racing Seriespresented by Menards tour, Brentwood, Tennessee native Mason Mingus is determined to achieve some personal goals in Saturday night’s Kentuckiana Ford Dealers Fall Classic by Federated Car Care at the historic Salem (Ind.) Speedway.

Martin Roy driver of the #90 Batteries Expert/Veloce/Gamache Truck Centre Dodge and teammate Isabelle Tremblay pilot of the #07 Frank Lyman Design Dodge with both return to action this weekend at Riverside International Speedway near Antigonish, NS for round number eleven of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series on Saturday evening.

Going back to his roots, Bobby Runyan Jr. took the weekend off from his normal stock car racing to enter a double regional event in the San Francisco SCCA. Runyan Jr. drove one of Porter Racing's Formula Continental's powered by JKB Energy at Thunderhill Raceway in Northern California. Although not unfamiliar with Formula cars, being the 2009 Formula Ford Champion, Runyan Jr. had never driven a winged car. The 2.0 liter powered machine would be his first attempt at such a race car with this much power and the added down force that the front and rear wings would provide.

Coming into the Wahta Springs 300 at Barrie Speedway this past weekend, D.J. Kennington led the point standings by 33 points over Andrew Ranger. However, following a fuel pump problem on lap 153, Kennington would score a 21st first place finish and now only leads Ranger by 14 points.

After a one day delay due to heavy rains the teams finally took the green flag for the Wahta 300 at Barrie Speedway at 1:30 on Sunday afternoon. Dilley driving the PartSource/Gaunt Collision Centres Ford Fusion ran up front all day but a late race driveline failure caused them to finish a disappointing 20th.

A “Speedweek” tests every fiber of a driver, crew and their equipment. With very little time to get from track to track and regroup, a team has to be at full strength to make it through such a stretch. Kraig Kinser just completed the Outlaw California Speedweek with the World of Outlaws, which saw the series race on five consecutive nights.

Looking for some good entertainment? Just watch Tim Kaeding. In perhaps the pass of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series season, Kaeding slid championship points leader Donny Schatz in turn four on the final lap to earn his fourth Outlaws win of the season on Monday at Antioch Speedway.

Should have, could have, would have. It’s a saying that many have heard in racing and it’s one that NASCAR Canadian Tire Series competitor Steve Mathews is right now playing through his mind multiple times following this past weekend’s Wahta Springs 300 at Barrie Speedway.

Normally at NASCAR Canadian Tire Series events we see DJ Kennington piloting the familiar #17 Castrol Edge Dodge. But for round number 10 at Barrie Speedway on Sunday Kennington caught the racing world of guard with an eye catching new look. For this one event Kennington would race the #17 SuperClean Dodge.
