Sheldon Creed continued his mid-season dominance of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards with his third win in the last five series race in Satuday's Fans with Benefits 150 at Iowa Speedway. Creed finished ahead of a fast-closing Chandler Smith, who was looking for his second consecutive victory after winning in his last series start at Madison.

Ilmor Engineering will be going for its 72nd-consecutive ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards victory. Since the ARCA Ilmor 396 was approved for competition in 2015 it has won all 71 events and earned all 53 General Tire Pole Awards (18 qualifying sessions have been canceled).

If there is a home venue for Corvette Racing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, then Canadian Tire Motorsport Park would be it. So it’s understandable that there is great excitement within the perennial championship-winning program as it heads north of the U.S. border again to race in front of the Canadian fans.

The Fans with Benefits 150 at Iowa Speedway is the 12th race of 20 on the 2018 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards schedule. It is also the fifth round of the 2018 Sioux Chief Short Track Challenge, an eleven-race championship-within-a-championship that takes place on tracks less than one-mile in length throughout the season.

In his first NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season, Bobby Labonte raced hard to a second place finish on Sunday, at the only oval track of the series. The result is the first podium of the season for Labonte, driving the #18 Yacco Toyota for the RDV Competition team based in Chartes, France.

Corvette Racing endured one of its most trying races in recent memory Sunday, and the team was rewarded with a runner-up finish by Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen. The No. 3 Mobil 1/SiriusXM Chevrolet Corvette C7.R led 30 laps at Watkins Glen International as the squad soldiered through record-setting heat in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

Andrew Ranger scored his 23rd NASCAR Pinty’s Series victory in the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge during round number three of the 2018 campaign this past Saturday at the Autodrome Chaudière in Vallee Jonction, Quebec. Ranger has been extremely fast at each of the races and with the win he climbs to third in the overall championship standings.

Max Verstappen put his car in parc-ferme, climbed out of the car and hopped over the barrier to celebrate with his Red Bull Racing team, at the team’s home track. While not a flashy, dominant victory, he conserved his tires to mitigate Kimi Raikkonen cutting his seven-second lead to a second and a half.

After narrowly missing out on picking up the win at Chicagoland Speedway last year, Michael Self took advantage of a late-race restart and led the final two laps to score his second ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards victory of 2018 in Friday night's SCOTT 150.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has announced a new event designed to draw short track fans back to the mecca of motorsports. A quarter-mile dirt track will be constructed inside Turn 3 for a USAC midget race, which will be held in the first week of September in an effort to pump up sagging attendance at the Brickyard 400 stock car race.
