Sherwood Park, Alberta’s Noel Dowler and the #5 EMCO/Rheem Dodge team demonstrated that hard work pays off in round number one of the 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire series this past weekend. Following months of hard work in the off season the team also dealt with adversity during the race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and battled hard to record an eighth place finish.
Scott Steckly driver of the 22 Racing/Canadian Tire Dodge started the Pinty’s presents the Vortex Brake Pads 200 from the third starting position but a crash into the turn three wall took them out early and a 24th place finish was the result.

Stroud, Ont. – Brandon Watson (#9 Shear/Barrie Frame and Alignment/Knightworks Design Chevrolet) led all 51 laps of the Lucie Aylwin Memorial presented by North Toronto Auctions at Sunset Speedway en route to victory in the 2013 OSCAAR Super Late Model season opener.
Kevin Cornelius would have a successful debut in the OSCAAR Super Late Models, finishing seventh in the Lucie Alywin Memorial 51 presented by North Toronto Auctions at Sunset Speedway.
Brandon Watson would start off exactly where he left off as he would the victory in the Lucie Alywin Memorial 50 presented by North Toronto Auctions after leading from the pole.
In continuing last year’s success, Gary McLean would win the North Toronto Auction 30 at Sunset Speedway after taking the lead from Matt Barton on lap nine.
