The Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500 Weekend is only days away and with it comes a list of pre-race dignitaries that includes respected executives and stars of television and film.

Cruise control is not an approved piece of equipment in NASCAR. (Speedometers aren’t either, for that matter.) But if it were, Joey Logano simply could have set his to “fast” at Dover International Speedway on Saturday, speedometer not necessary.

Fans will be able to take a step back in time before the TUMS Fast Relief 500 as some of the biggest stars in NASCAR’s history will gather on the start-finish line for a question-and-answer session.

Talladega Superspeedway is proud to announce that comedic actor Kevin James will be the Grand Marshal for the Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500. Known for his hit TV sitcom “The King of Queens” and such blockbuster films as Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Zookeeper, Grown Ups, and Hitch, James will be adding some definite star power to the weekend’s lineup of racing and fun-filled festivities.

Busch gave hot-lap rides to about 25 media members and a few lucky fans Wednesday afternoon as part of a promotional event for the upcoming TUMS Fast Relief 500. He got driving support from Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell, an accomplished driver who competes on the NASCAR K&N Series, to make sure everyone got a chance for a near-race experience at Martinsville.

After staging the most talked-about event of the 2012 NASCAR season to date, Rockingham Speedway President Andy Hillenburg made it official today; confirming that the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will return to "The Rock" on April 12-14, 2013.

Matt Kenseth, driver of the No. 17 for Roush Fenway Racing, will sport a pink Ford Fusion when he rolls into Talladega Superspeedway for the Oct. 5-7 Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500 weekend. The pink ride came about through a partnership between Roush Fenway Racing, Talladega Superspeedway and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

The third NSCS event in Kentucky Speedway history will be the 17th of 36 championship races and one of six that make up the Turner Network Television (TNT) NASCAR Summer Series. The Quaker State 400 also will be broadcast on Performance Racing Network (PRN) radio and Sirius XM 90.

AdvoCare International, LP (AdvoCare), a leading health and wellness company, today announced they will be the title sponsor for the Phoenix International Raceway’s Nov. 11 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.® (NBCF) today announced its official partnership with the Talladega Superspeedway during the month of October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The racetrack will be decked in pink, survivors will storm the tracks, and fan activities will promote awareness, celebrate survival, and generate funds for early detection and education.
