Darrell Wallace Jr. kicked off his search for a second victory this season in the Camping World Truck Series the right way as he scored the 21 Means 21 Pole Award for the American Ethanol 200 at Iowa Speedway. Wallace Jr. drove his No. 54 ToyotaCare Toyota to a quick lap of 22.946 seconds. It marks Wallace Jr.'s first pole of the season and the second pole of his career.

In 17 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at Iowa Speedway, Red Horse Racing has claimed two wins with Timothy Peters (July 2012 and July 2013), three Keystone Light Pole Awards (Peters, July 2012; Parker Kligerman, September 2012; and Germán Quiroga, July 2013), three top-five and six top-10 finishes.

Headed To The Heartland...The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads to Newton, Iowa for its first and only stop of the season at Iowa Speedway. The 0.875-mile oval is one of five tracks on the circuit where Ben Kennedy made a start in 2013, earning a top-15 finish in his Iowa debut. In addition to one NCWTS event, Kennedy has made more than 760 laps at the Midwest track, having participated in five events in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) since 2011. In those five NKNPSE starts, Kennedy earned a best start of sixth and a best finish of ninth.

Iowa Bound...The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads to Newton, Iowa for the American Ethanol 200 at Iowa Speedway. Four-time champion Ron Hornaday Jr. has seven previous starts at the 0.875-mile tri-oval, with his best finish of second coming in the spring of 2012. Hornaday has amassed three top fives and three top 10s at the track, leading 22 laps on his way to an average finish of 14.7.

The No. 51 team that competes in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series has been penalized for a rules infraction discovered in post-race inspection June 26 at Kentucky Speedway.

NASCAR announced today that the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards – the annual culmination of Champion’s Week – will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, at Wynn Las Vegas. This is the sixth year that NASCAR has celebrated Champion’s Week in the city of Las Vegas, a tradition that has featured a bevy of A-list entertainers and fan-friendly activities involving the sport’s biggest stars.

Jeb Burton and the No. 13 Estes team were confident entering Thursday night's UNOH 225 at Kentucky Speedway following two top-10 runs in the dual NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) practice sessions and a track-best third-place qualifying effort. Unfortunately, the ThorSport Racing driver wouldn't have the night he envisioned after getting loose entering Turn 3, ultimately tagging the wall. The resulting damage relegated the sophomore driver to a 27th-place finish in his second NCWTS start at the 1.5-mile oval.

Jimmy Weller and the No. 08 Geneva-Liberty Steel / Thunder Exhaust / Engine Parts Plus Chevrolet Silverado team finished 22nd on Thursday night at Kentucky Speedway. Experiencing an incident that acted as a setback during a mid-race restart, Weller worked on a different pit strategy than the leaders throughout the closing stages of the race. Forced to take a few gambles to regain lost ground, Weller and his SS Green Light Racing team could never catch the break they needed to rebound and instead finished in the 22nd position.
