The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series continues their exciting season this week at the 2-mile racetrack, Michigan International Speedway, located in Brooklyn, Michigan and the competition gets even tighter with only two races left until the Playoffs begin. There are three drivers on the bubble; Matt Crafton, Grant Enfinger and Stewart Friesen.

Self on Racing at Michigan: “I’ve always enjoyed racing at Michigan,” said Self. “It’s a big track where speed is at a premium. Handling is just as critical with a good motor. The track was repaved several years ago, and the preferred lines are slowing widening out.

Fontaine on Racing at Michigan: “I really enjoyed racing at Michigan and I’m excited to get back there again,” said Fontaine. “It’s a fast race track and can be line sensitive. Even though the truck and ARCA car are different, I feel like my experience there should give me some good footing for this weekend’s race.

NASCAR Driver Cody Coughlin of the No. 2 JEGS Chevrolet Silverado, will be racing in honor of veterans around the world at the 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Corrigan Oil 200 on Saturday, August 11th at the Michigan International Speedway.

Set to continue their impressive presence on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) tour, JJL Motorsports officials announced today that the Wings Over North Georgia Air Show (WONG) presented by Parker FiberNet will return as the team’s primary marketing partner for Jesse Little at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway on Thurs., Aug. 17.

Coughlin will utilize chassis no. 312 this weekend at Michigan. This chassis has been run two previous times in 2018, most recently at Kentucky (12th), as well as earlier in the season at Texas (eighth).

NASCAR issued the following statement Monday afternoon: “Brian France has taken an indefinite leave of absence from NASCAR as chairman and chief executive officer. Effective immediately, NASCAR Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President Jim France has assumed the role of interim chairman and chief executive officer.”
