John Hunter Nemechek and GMS Racing will utilize chassis no. 223 this weekend at Kansas Speedway. This chassis has been ran four times this season by Nemechek. Twice at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (start: 10th/finish: 2nd - Spring & start: 13th/finish: 8th - Fall), Charlotte Motor Speedway (start: 14th/finish: 12th) and at Kentucky Speedway (start: 11th/finish: 12th).

Ross Chastain on Racing at Talladega: “Talladega is definitely a wild card in this playoff,” said Chastain.  “There’s a lot that’s out of our control, so we’re going to focus on the things we can control.  I know this team will bring a fast CarShield Chevrolet Silverado.  We’ll do our best to stay out of trouble and put ourselves in contention at the end of the race.  I enjoy superspeedway racing and am looking forward to Saturday’s race.”

Cole Custer was the golden winner at Dover International Speedway, winning on his 100th NASCAR Xfinity Series career start. The No. 00 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford Mustang won the Golden Miles Monster trophy on the 50th Anniversary of the Dover International Speedway.

JRM at Dover: In 63 NXS starts at Dover International Speedway, JR Motorsports has scored three wins, 20 top-five and 37 top10 finishes. Brad Keselowski scored the organization’s first victory at “The Monster Mile” in May 2009 with Regan Smith and Justin Allgaier following suit in October 2015 and May 2018, respectively.

“We just got done at Charlotte, where my teammate, AJ Allmendinger, won the Roval race! I had some mechanical issues on lap one, which put us out (of contention), but we are going to the elimination race. We are way below the cut-off line, so we need to win this weekend at Dover. We had a lot of speed there in the spring, so hopefully we can bring that same speed back to Dover this time and get that win to lock us into the next round. It’s going to take everything, and a win, this weekend – nothing else is going to matter! It’s either wreckers or checkers, so we will see you all there.”
