John Hunter Nemechek and GMS Racing will utilize chassis no. 212 this weekend at Mid-Ohio. This chassis was ran last year by Spencer Gallagher (start:20th/finish: 8th).

Christopher Bell was the highest-finishing Supra driver with a third-place finish in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) race at the road course at Watkins Glen International on Saturday.

"We fought it all today at Watkins Glen and somehow came away with a top-10 finish at one of the most challenging tracks for me. We qualified really well, but on that first lap I was trying to give the 10 a little bit of room but didn't give myself enough time to get back over and missed the bus stop. We pitted right away to get the grass off our nose and played a little bit of strategy to get our track position back. That seemed to be the trend of our day, every time we got track position, something would happen and we would get shuffled back again. My crew chief, Randall Burnett, and all my spotters did a great job of keeping me focused and on track for the rest of the race. Coming out of here with a sixth-place finish is a big accomplishment, and I hope we can keep that momentum going next week at Mid-Ohio." -Tyler Reddick

BRIAN WILSON, Crew Chief, No. 22 MoneyLion Ford Mustang – “Obviously, the finish was pretty wild, but, for me, the biggest part was that pit call and that goes back to some homework that Austin and I did throughout the week. We had that scenario in mind that if a caution came out we wanted to pit there. We had seen the 7 car did that last year and it paid off for him to come back through. There was a lot of speed in it, so when he came on the radio and asked if that was the scenario we were in, we were both on the same page there. He sounded very confident that he wanted tires. Now, I don’t know if it would have worked out if we didn’t have the guys get sideways in the esses, but in the end they did and it was a really good day.”

AUSTIN CINDRIC, No. 22 MoneyLion Ford Mustang – VICTORY LANE INTERVIEW – TAKE US THROUGH LAP 81 AND THOSE PASSES FOR THE LEAD. “First of all, AJ is a hell of a race car driver, so I knew it wasn’t gonna be easy even if we got there with way newer tires. I’m just so blessed and appreciative of this kind of an opportunity at this stage racing these types of race cars and I hope this is the first of many.”

Jeremy Clements Racing will be throwing back to the No. 51 EXXON paint scheme from the 1990 film Days of Thunder and will be sponsored by long-time partners RepairableVehicles.com.

JR Motorsports has 33 NXS starts at Watkins Glen International, earning six top-five and 17 top-10 finishes. The team’s best finish came in 2011 when Jimmie Johnson crossed the finish line in second.

This chassis was ran three times in 2018, once at Watkins Glen International by AJ Almendinger (start: 4th/finish: 2nd), another at Road America by NASCAR Hall of Famer, Bill Elliott (start: 23rd/finish: 20th) and lastly by Spencer Gallagher at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval but had to go to a back up after an incident in practice.

John Hunter Nemechek and GMS Racing will utilize chassis no. 216 this weekend at Iowa Speedway. This chassis has been ran three times this season by Nemechek at ISM Raceway (start: 13th/finish: 9th), Richmond Raceway (start: 11th/finish: 7th) and at Iowa Speedway (start: 6th/finish: 8th).

“We tried some things last week at New Hampshire to get ready for the return to Iowa, and I think we’ll have a sporty TMC Chevrolet this weekend at my home track. It’s always good to be home, and we’ve been pretty good on tracks under a mile this year. Travis (Mack, crew chief) and the No. 1 team have been really good at getting us prepared for these races, and we’re coming in with the idea that we’re going to make some noise this weekend.”– Michael Annett
