Interstate Batteries Racing: Kyle Busch Daytona Advance

KYLE BUSCH
Beating the Heat at Daytona

HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (August 24, 2022) – It will be the 26th and final race of the NASCAR Cup Series regular season when Kyle Busch and the No. 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota team for Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) head to Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway for Saturday night’s Coke Zero Sugar 400.

Busch, currently 13th on the playoff grid, has already secured a spot in the 2022 playoffs that begin next weekend at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway. He and his team look to put themselves in the best possible position in the 16-driver playoff field with a strong performance in Saturday night’s playoff primer at Daytona.

From the time the 2.5-mile Daytona oval opened in 1959 through the 2018 season, the NASCAR Cup Series has competed on its high banks every Fourth of July weekend. From 1959 to 1997, the series competed on the morning of July 4, no matter what day of the week the holiday fell. Starting in 1998, the event was moved to the first Saturday night in July after lights were added to the World Center of Racing that season. But when NASCAR’s July 4 Cup Series race moved to Indianapolis for a one-time run in 2020, Daytona moved its summer oval race to the regular-season finale in late August. Saturday night’s race marks Daytona’s third regular-season finale.

Whether this race is in July or August, Busch, the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, knows he will not only need to beat his fellow competitors, but also the Florida summer heat at Daytona. This part of the season is annually the hottest for Cup Series competitors, with select race venues seeing record temperatures this year, and also for those who are heading out on their late-summer road trips. Whether on the highway or the racetrack, the summer months can be taxing on both man and machine. Caring for the latter is one of the ways JGR founding partner Interstate Batteries leverages its NASCAR program, reminding consumers to have their batteries checked during the hot summer months at a local Interstate Batteries dealer prior to their summer road trips.

Busch is certainly no stranger to victory lane in the Coke Zero Sugar 400, having won the July 2008 race behind the wheel of – yes – the Interstate Batteries Toyota. The Las Vegas native has fared much better in his summer races at Daytona during his career, when the track is much more slick thanks to the Florida heat. He has five top-five finishes in his 18 summertime starts at the track.

With all of that on his side, Busch hopes to have a strong car and track position in pack-style racing, where a driver not only has to be good, but must have good fortune to go along with it. He would like nothing more than to head into the playoffs in the best way possible – by bringing the Interstate Batteries green paint scheme to victory lane Saturday night. With one final primer before the 2022 Cup Series playoffs begin, Busch and his Interstate Batteries team will not only look to beat the Florida heat, but finally recharge their batteries and get back to his favorite place – victory lane.

KYLE BUSCH, Driver of the No. 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing:

Is Daytona still a special racetrack for you?

“Daytona is cool – a lot more in February than in the summer just because it is the Daytona 500 versus the August race. For us, you still want to win everywhere you go, every single week. To win at Daytona is always cool. It’s definitely special. It’s the birthplace of NASCAR – the superspeedway aspect of it. I definitely love going there. It’s hot, it’s slick, and you can make the most out of yourself as a driver and what you’ve got in the car. We won there in 2008 and I’m hoping we can get a win with our Interstate Batteries Camry this weekend.”

Do you feel the Daytona race runs differently than it used to because it’s now a cutoff race for the playoffs, or is it the same as other Daytona races?

“No, it’s still about going all out for anybody who’s top-30 in points. Anybody who’s top-30 in points can win that race. We’ve seen Front Row Motorsports win. We’ve seen Spire win. We’ve seen teams that don’t normally win races be able to score victories in the speedway races, so that just heightens the anxiety level for everybody. We are going to try to be there, too, so would love to get our Interstate Batteries Camry to victory lane this year.”

What do you do to prep for the night race at Daytona?

“It’s going to be a hot one. Right now, it’s all about getting your fluids back in you throughout the entire week. You’re not going to get them all back in one or two nights. It’s going to take the entirety of a week. You’ll start over again after that race. It’s Daytona. A lot of different planning goes into that.”

Since the debut of the NextGen car at this year’s Daytona 500, what has changed since February, if anything, when it comes to the car as you head back there this weekend?

“I don’t really anticipate it being much different. I feel that everyone has gotten used to these cars. We did have a lot of tire blowouts early in the year because I think a lot of teams were really aggressive on setups with their left-rear camber and things like that. That has seemed to have gone away, so that’s been good. I think that Daytona race earlier this year, we had a decent car and we had a legitimate shot to race for the win and it was just circumstances at these places, so you just have to be in the running when it comes down to the last few laps.”

When you look at guys who have won superspeedway races the last few years, it seems there are those who win more often than not. Why are they winning more at the two superspeedways?

“You’ve got to be good, but there’s still a lot of luck involved. You’ve got to be out front. When your cars are fast, you need to do a good job, you know how to lead it, get yourself through traffic, you’ll be out front a lot of the time. So hard to hold those fast cars back, if you will. They do a good job of being able to predict the lines and how they build the inertia and everything behind them.”

Notes of Interest

● Noah Gragson is set to make his 11th career NASCAR Cup Series start in Saturday night’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. It will be his second Cup Series start at Daytona and his third with Beard Motorsports. Gragson made his Cup Series debut with Beard Motorsports in this year’s Daytona 500. After starting 39th in the Great American Race, Gragson was running among the top-10 with just 10 laps remaining. But on lap 191, another car lost control and slid into Gragson’s No. 62 Beard Oil Distributing Chevrolet Camaro as the two raced through the frontstretch. Gragson was turned into the wall and his car suffered heavy front-end damage. Gragson was unhurt, but the same could not be said for his racecar. He was unable to continue the race and was ultimately credited with a 31st-place finish.

● Gragson returned to Beard Motorsports in April for the GEICO 500 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. In contrast to Daytona, it was a relatively quiet affair. Gragson finished 20th after getting off sequence during the final round of pit stops and lost the draft. Nonetheless, Gragson did what many of his counterparts could not – bring home a straight racecar. The GEICO 500 featured six caution periods for a total of 28 laps with 13 drivers failing to finish.

● Aside from his two races with Beard Motorsports, Gragson has run eight other NASCAR Cup Series races with Kaulig Racing. The collective seat time is already proving beneficial. On Aug. 10, it was announced that Gragson would join Petty GMS Racing in 2023 to compete in the Cup Series fulltime.

● Beard Motorsports was the first team to provide Gragson with the opportunity to sample the NASCAR Cup Series. A year before he made his official Cup Series debut in this year’s Daytona 500, Gragson competed for Beard Motorsports in the lead up to the 2021 Daytona 500. As an independent, non-chartered team with no guaranteed starting spot in the Daytona 500, Beard Motorsports had to race its way into the 40-car field via the Duel, a 150-mile qualifying race. Unfortunately, Gragson was collected in a multicar accident just four laps short of his finish in the Duel, which prevented him from advancing to the Daytona 500. With qualifying unavailable at the other superspeedway races in 2021, Beard Motorsports didn’t have the chance to race again. The 2022 Daytona 500 provided that long-sought opportunity for Beard Motorsports to get back to the track and Gragson to get his first career Cup Series start.

● That ordeal was another example of the resilience Beard Motorsports has displayed since its NASCAR Cup Series debut in 2017. The generational race team founded by the late Mark Beard Sr., has proven to be the little team that could, a modern-day David competing against the Goliaths of NASCAR. Beard Motorsports has taken a strategic approach to its racing endeavors, running only the superspeedway races at Daytona and its sister track, Talladega. With a Chevrolet Camaro powered by an ECR-built engine, Beard Motorsports can race at the front, a fact proven by a pair of top-10 finishes in 2020 at the hands of former driver Brendan Gaughan – seventh in the Daytona 500 and eighth in the Coke Zero Sugar 400.

● What drives Beard Motorsports? Passion. Matriarch Linda Beard, along with her children, carry on the pursuit of their husband and father, respectively, in racing and in business. Beard Motorsports and its family-owned company, Beard Oil Distributing – a certified women owned business – is a distinctive qualifier in the male-dominated sport of auto racing. Linda is hands-on with the race team and was alongside her husband as he pursued his passion of racing at Daytona – first as a NASCAR Xfinity Series driver in 1982 and simultaneously as a team owner. Today, Beard Motorsports competes in his honor. The Coke Zero Sugar 400 will be the team’s milestone 20th career NASCAR Cup Series start and its 10th at Daytona.

● While it’s Linda Beard at the top of Beard Motorsports’ masthead, the team is managed with ample support from her children, Amie and Mark Beard Jr., along with help from crew chief Darren Shaw and Gaughan, the former NASCAR Cup Series driver who made 17 of his 67 career Cup Series starts with Beard Motorsports. It was Gaughan who, upon retiring from racing at the conclusion of the 2020 season, tabbed Gragson to be his successor in the No. 62 Beard Oil Distributing Chevrolet Camaro. In addition to both being natives of Las Vegas, Gaughan has observed Gragson’s rise from regional racer to a competitor in NASCAR’s top national touring series.

● While Gragson is still relatively new to the NASCAR Cup Series, he is not new to NASCAR. The 24-year-old competes fulltime in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for JR Motorsports and 2022 serves as his fourth season in NASCAR’s stepping-stone division to the elite Cup Series. Gragson is an eight-time winner in the Xfinity Series, and he scored his first career victory in the 2020 season opener at Daytona. He is enjoying his best year yet in the Xfinity Series as he has already matched his season-high tally of three wins with 11 races still remaining. In 2021, Gragson won three races and advanced to the Championship 4 where he competed for the series title in the season finale at Phoenix Raceway, finishing a career-high third in points.

● Before joining the Xfinity Series fulltime in 2019, Gragson competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2017 and 2018. He won twice – Martinsville (Va.) Speedway in October 2017 and Kansas Speedway in May 2018 – and finished second in the 2018 championship. Those Truck Series results were a continuation of the kind of talent Gragson showcased in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series. In 2015 and 2016, Gragson raced in this developmental league, regionally split into two divisions – K&N Pro Series East and K&N Pro Series West. Gragson won six races between the two entities and narrowly missed out on the 2015 West title by a scant seven points.

Noah Gragson, Driver of the No. 62 Beard Oil Distributing Chevrolet Camaro

Beard Motorsports has helped you get established in the NASCAR Cup Series, as you made your first career Cup Series start with them in this year’s Daytona 500. How helpful has your time with Beard Motorsports been as you prepared for the other Cup Series starts you’ve made this year?

“The Beard Family gave me my first shot in Cup, Mr. and Mrs. Beard, Amie Beard and Mark Beard Jr. The whole family, you can’t say enough about them, they’ve really taken a chance on me. Darren Shaw (crew chief), really, they’ve got one employee over there, so it’s pretty special to be able to go there and be competitive. I can’t thank Brendan Gaughan and the Beard family and Darren Shaw enough for the opportunity that they’ve given me to drive their car. Really, starting back at the beginning of 2021, they went out on a limb with Brendan retiring, and to be that next guy for them, it’s a privilege to be able to drive their car and, most importantly, I’m just very thankful for the relationship that I have with them and the memories we’ve made.”

You now have 10 career NASCAR Cup Series starts under your belt, all with the NextGen car. What is it like to drive that car compared to the Xfinity Series car you race fulltime?

“There are differences just with the car itself. I’ve noticed you have to drive it a lot straighter than the Xfinity car, but I’ve gained more and more experience and more and more confidence each and every race. We’re a little behind just because these guys get to race them each and every week. Every gain that I’ve made during each of my 10 starts this year, they’ve been making them every week and can re-adapt to that week in and week out. It’s a little bit challenging, but I feel like I’ve gotten a better feel for it than I had at the beginning of the season.”

Is the level of competition higher in the NASCAR Cup Series?

“I think if everything is going right, it’s not that much different than an Xfinity race, but I think restarts have been the biggest challenge for me. On these tracks, everyone is so aggressive – that’s the best way I can explain the difference between Xfinity and Cup. My best five restarts I’ve had in my career, that’s what these guys are doing on every restart, so you definitely have to be on your gain. A little bit of the struggle has been aero for me, and learning the position of the car in the corner in traffic is a lot different. I think we’re capable of running with these guys, and doing it is just a matter of having all the puzzle pieces come together.”

You’ve made two superspeedway starts with Beard Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series. What did you learn from the Daytona 500 that you were able to apply at Talladega, and how have both of those races shaped your approach for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 Saturday night at Daytona?

“You can’t get caught up in the wreck, but you’ve got to stay in the draft. And especially the green-flag pit stops, they’re an opportunity to mess up, but you have to have fast pit stops. The biggest struggle with superspeedway racing is just staying on the lead lap and making it to the end and having good pit strategies.”

You recently announced that you’ll compete in the NASCAR Cup Series fulltime next year with Petty GMS Racing. With the slate of Cup Series races you’re running this year, do you feel like you’re in a much better position to succeed next year because of the seat time you’re getting this year with the NextGen car?

“I think the opportunity with Beard Motorsports and Kaulig Racing have helped. I know how raw I was getting into the Cup car to start the season and how much I’ve learned since then with more experience. That’s definitely been a big help. And with these guys having a full season under their belt this year, if I were to hop in cold turkey next year, it’d definitely be a lot more challenging. But just getting the understanding of the car and how they feel and the level of competition, all of that has helped.”

Explain drafting with the NextGen cars, and what do you have to do to put yourself in a position at the end of the race to challenge for the win?

“They’re pretty close on drafting, both the Xfinity cars and the Cup cars, their packages, just how you get your runs. The guys are a lot smarter and make bigger, more aggressive moves, for the most part. You’re just racing against really well-prepared guys and smart guys, and I’ve enjoyed that processes of bettering myself and preparing myself going into the weekend. We’ll keep on trying to learn and stay out of the trouble and go from there.”

For those guys around you who are racing for a playoff spot, do you race them differently, or do you treat them all the same, as you’re there to win too?

“I think you want to be considerate of those guys, but the most important thing for us is making it to the end of the race and then having a shot to win and really being smart. This year, trying to gain respect from the other competitors and not doing anything dumb – I think if we take that mindset, it doesn’t really change between playoff guys and non-playoff guys – it’s about getting that experience and getting that respect.”

This will be Jackson’s sixth visit to ICAR, and at the most recent road course event at the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres Jackson scored an eighth-place finish. He’ll be looking for more success, in 2017 Jackson scored a seventh-place result at Circuit ICAR.

The #84 O’Neil Electric Supply team has shown plenty of speed at every event they’ve raced at this season, unfortunately some of the finishing results have left them frustrated but they remain more determined than ever.

Jackson and crew have gone over the #84 car with a fine-tooth comb to be ready for 70-laps of racing action to put on a show for the passionate Quebec fans.

Larry Jackson Quote:
“We’re looking forward to getting back to the track this weekend. ICAR is a really unique place, it’s flat with some blind corners and a real challenge. We’ve done a lot of work on the #84 car to be ready for this weekend. Every time we go to Quebec we have a great crowd with enthusiastic fans, looking forward to having a good weekend.”

Jason Burdett to call 250th Xfinity event as crew chief at Daytona

Photo by Tim Jarrold for SpeedwayMedia.com.

In his eighth full-time season as a NASCAR Xfinity Series crew chief for JR Motorsports’ No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro team piloted by vt, Jason Burdett is within reach of a milestone start. By participating in this weekend’s Xfinity event at Daytona International Speedway, Burdett will call his 250th career event as a crew chief.

A native of Arkport, New York, Burdett, whose racing career commenced by working with several local teams near Watkins Glen, joined Robert Yates Racing in 1998, where he worked as a tire specialist for Dale Jarrett. Three years later, he transitioned to Hendrick Motorsports, where he was a part of the 2001 Cup Series championship-winning team piloted by four-time champion Jeff Gordon. Another six years later, he joined forces with Michael Waltrip Racing and served as Jarrett’s crew chief for 14 Cup events. Upon returning to Hendrick Motorsports in 2008, he spent the following three seasons serving as Gordon’s car chief before teaming up with Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s No. 88 HMS team from 2011 to 2014.

In 2015, Burdett was named a full-time Xfinity Series crew chief for JR Motorsports’ No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro entry piloted by Regan Smith. Despite commencing the season with a 35th-place finish at Daytona, where Smith was involved in a late rollover accident, the duo earned 12 top-10 results through the first 20-scheduled events. Then at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in August, Burdett achieved his first victory as a NASCAR crew chief when Smith pulled a “bump-and-run” move on Alex Tagliani on the final lap to claim his first victory of the season. Another seven races later, Burdett and Smith went to Victory Lane for the second time of the year at Dover Motor Speedway in October. By then, Smith was in third place in the standings and trailing the points lead by 36 points. Despite finishing in the top-10 for the remaining five Xfinity events, Smith capped the 2015 season in fourth place in the final drivers’ standings and 22 points shy of the title. Overall, Burdett led Smith and the No. 7 JRM team to two victories, 11 top-five results, 26 top-10 results and an average-finishing result of 9.0 in his first season as an Xfinity crew chief.

The following season, Burdett remained as crew chief for JRM’s No. 7 entry that was being piloted by Justin Allgaier, who replaced Smith. Despite not recording a single victory throughout the season, the new duo utilized consistency on a strength of 21 top-10 results to qualify for the inaugural 2016 Xfinity Series Playoffs. Burdett and Allgaier went on to finish no lower than 14th throughout the Playoffs as they transferred all the way to the Championship Round at Homestead-Miami Speedway in November with an opportunity to contend for the 2016 Xfinity title. During the finale, however, Allgaier finished in sixth place on the track and in third place in the final standings. Despite falling short of the title, Burdett managed to lead the No. 7 team to two additional top-five results (13), an additional top-five result (27) and one spot higher (third) compared to the 2015 season.

Remaining as Allgaier’s crew chief for the 2017 Xfinity season, it only took the first four scheduled events of the season for Burdett and Allgaier to achieve their first victory of the season at Phoenix Raceway in March. By then, Allgaier snapped an 80-race winless drought dating back to August 2012 and a one-year winless drought for JRM’s No. 7 team. Six months later, the duo wheeled their way to their second victory of the season at Chicagoland Speedway as they earned a spot in the Xfinity Playoffs for a second consecutive season. Throughout the Playoffs, Burdett and Allgaier earned four top-10 results in six races as they managed to earn a spot in the Championship Round at Homestead for a second consecutive season. Prior to the finale, however, Burdett was suspended from the event and fined $10,000 for an L1 infraction stemming from an unattached brake cooling hose that was found on Allgaier’s car the week prior at Phoenix in November. With Burdett absent, veterans Billy Wilburn and Chad Knaus worked atop Allgaier’s No. 7 pit box at Homestead, where he went on to finish in 12th place on the track and in third place in the final standings for a second consecutive season.

Returning atop the pit box for the 2018 Xfinity Series season, Burdett and Allgaier rallied from sustaining two DNFs through the first 10-scheduled events by earning six top-10 results and claiming their first victory of the season at Dover in May. Following the Dover victory, however, Burdett was suspended for the following two Xfinity events and fined $25,000 after it was discovered that some rear suspension components on Allgaier’s race-winning car did not meet NASCAR specifications. Once Burdett returned as a crew chief at Michigan International Speedway in June, the duo went to Victory Lane during the following event at Iowa Speedway. They went on to win at Mid-Ohio, Road America and Indianapolis Motor Speedway between August and September. Once the regular-season stretch concluded at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in September, Burdett and Allgaier captured the 2018 Xfinity Series regular-season championship as they entered the 2018 Xfinity Playoffs as a title favorite. During the Playoffs, however, they managed to finish in the top five twice in six events. Coupled with two DNFs and three results outside of the top 20, Burdett and Allgaier failed to reach the Championship Round and compete for the title. Despite settling in seventh place in the final standings and being suspended for two events, the 2018 season produced a career-best season for Burdett, who achieved five victories, a pole, 17 top-five results and 24 top-10 results with Allgaier. In addition, he surpassed 100 Xfinity events as a crew chief.

Burdett and Allgaier commenced the 2019 Xfinity season on a strong note, where Allgaier finished in the runner-up spot behind teammate Michael Annett at Daytona. They went on to earn 17 additional top-10 results, including three runner-up results, to qualify for the Playoffs for a fourth consecutive season. After finishing no lower than sixth through the Playoff’s Round of 12 and 8, Burdett and Allgaier notched their first elusive victory of the season at Phoenix in November. The victory enabled the duo and the No. 7 JRM team to secure a spot in the Championship Round at Homestead, where they ended up in 14th place on the track and in fourth place in the final standings. Ironically, the 2019 season marked the third season where Burdett led the No. 7 team to an overall average-finishing result of 9.0, including the years 2015 and 2018.

Burdett and Allgaier recorded 10 results in the top 10 through the first 19-scheduled events of the 2020 season before notching their first victory of the year in the first of a Dover Motor Speedway doubleheader feature in August. A month later, they swept both Richmond Raceway events as part of a doubleheader feature as they went on to make the Playoffs for a fifth consecutive season. Despite finishing outside of the top 20 three times throughout the Playoff’s Round of 12 and 8, the duo made the Championship Round for the fourth time in five seasons. During the finale at Phoenix in November, Allgaier was in position to win his first championship during an overtime attempt before he was overtaken by Austin Cindric on the final lap. Unable to mount a final lap challenge on Cindric, Allgaier fell back to fifth place on the track as he and Burdett settled in a career-best second place in the final standings.

This past season, Burdett and Allgaier recorded two regular-season victories at Atlanta Motor Speedway in March and at Darlington Raceway in May as they made the Xfinity Playoffs for a sixth consecutive season. Despite finishing no lower than ninth throughout the Playoffs, they missed the top-four Championship finale cutline by a mere margin as they went on to finish in fifth place in the final standings. Reasons to Buy a Stroller for Your Baby

Photo by Marcin Jozwiak on Unsplash

Stepping into parenthood is a wonderful thing. You are starting a new journey in life. However, there is no denial of the fact that it comes with its own set of challenges. Especially for mothers who find themselves in a position where their activities and hobbies have to be put on hold, for a considerably long time.

This is why it’s very important to buy a baby stroller in NZ. It can assist you in going out for a walk, or grocery runs and maintaining some of your daily activities, as much as you can. With the right kind of stroller, carrying your baby around with you and multi-tasking becomes much easier.

If you haven’t invested in a baby stroller yet, you must. Here are all the benefits:

  1. Convenience

The biggest reason to invest in a stroller is convenience. Whether you want to go for a shopping trip or you simply want to head out to the park for a walk, a stroller allows you to take your baby along with ease and keep your arms free.

  1. Safe

Strollers are extremely safe for taking your kids along with you, wherever you go. The best and top-selling strollers these days are tried-and-tested and comfortable for kids. They are sturdy and keep your kids secure all the time.

  1. Comfortable

With high-quality padding and foot and calf rests, strollers are extremely comfortable for your little one. Many of them come with reclining seats which allows them to fall asleep easily too. Thus, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

  1. Portable

Another benefit of strollers is that they are super-portable. It can be very tiring for you to carry your kid in your arms while going out. It can make you feel exhausted and you’re unable to enjoy your grocery run or shopping trip fully. As strollers are portable and easy to walk around with, you can fully immerse yourself in your activity while your kid sits in it comfortably. You won’t get tired or exhausted pushing a stroller around.

  1. Helps Parents Move Around Easily

The biggest problem that many parents, especially mothers, face is that they are unable to go out as they used to, after having the baby. This is usually because they cannot take the baby along everywhere. But if you have a stroller, this gets easier. If you want to stay in shape, you can easily pack baby essentials like diapers, wipes or baby formula milk and take your kid along to the park for a walk as well.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Some investments are worthwhile and strollers are one of them. When you are making a list of items that you want to buy for your child, make sure that a high-quality stroller is on the top. It might not seem very important in the beginning but as time passes by, you will definitely realize the need for one.

A good stroller adds comfort, ease, and convenience to a parent’s life. It is a thoughtful investment that definitely pays off.

NASCAR Betting: The Dos and Don’ts of Successful Betting

If you’re looking to get into NASCAR betting, there are a few things you need to know in order to be successful. For starters, we must point out that each successful NASCAR bettor needs to do their research. Learn about the drivers, the teams, and the tracks. The more you know, the better your chances of making money.

And before we move on to exploring the best strategies for NASCAR betting in our text below, remember that just like gamblers who play free spins no deposit Australia can’t include emotions into gambling note that you should never get too emotionally attached to any one driver or team. This is just business, so always remember that and act accordingly.

And now, without much further ado, let’s explore all the Dos and Don’ts of successful NASCAR betting.

The Dos and Don’ts of successful NASCAR betting

There are a few things to keep in mind when betting on NASCAR races. First and foremost, dedicate some to learning everything about the drivers and the teams you want to bet on. This will give you a better understanding of how the race is likely to play out and who the favorites are.

Another important thing to remember is that NASCAR races are long – usually around 400 miles. This means that anything can happen over the course of the race, so don’t get too discouraged if your driver falls behind early on.

Another crucial tip is to never bet on every race. You need to be selective and only bet on the races that you think you have a good chance of winning. Otherwise, you’re just throwing your money away.

Finally, don’t be afraid to put some money down on an underdog. While it’s always important to bet responsibly, sometimes taking a chance on a long shot can pay off big time.

What are some of the key things to keep in mind when betting on NASCAR races?

When betting on NASCAR races, there are three key factors to consider. First, it is important to understand the different types of bets that are available. The most common type of bet is the win bet, which is simply a bet on which the driver will cross the finish line first. There are also place and show bets, which involve betting on which drivers will finish in second and third place, respectively.

Another important thing to keep in mind is the importance of qualifying times. Qualifying times are used to determine starting positions for the race, and they can have a big impact on the outcome. Drivers who start near the front of the pack often have an advantage, so it is important to pay attention to qualifying times when making your bets.

Finally, it is also important to be aware of any changes or updates that may occur before or during the race. Things like weather conditions, accidents, and mechanical issues can all impact the outcome of a race, so it is important to stay up-to-date on any changes that could affect your bets.

What is the best strategy for betting on NASCAR races?

The best betting strategy for NASCAR races will undoubtedly vary depending on a number of factors. However, there are a few general tips that can help you make more informed and successful bets on NASCAR races.

Firstly, it’s important to keep up to date with the latest news and developments in the sport. This will give you a better understanding of the race and the potential outcome, which will in turn help you make more informed bets.

Secondly, it’s important to set a budget for your betting and never spend more. It can be easy to get carried away when betting on NASCAR races, especially if you’re winning, but it’s important to remember that you can also lose money just as easily. By setting a budget and sticking to it, you can minimize your losses and walk away from the bet without too much financial damage.

Finally, it’s always helpful to use a betting system when placing bets on NASCAR races. There are many different systems out there, so doing some research and finding one that suits your needs can be very helpful. A betting system can help you place more successful bets by taking into account factors such as driver history, team performance, and track conditions.

Road America Announces Featured Marque for the Weathertech International Challenge With Brian Redman in 2023

ELKHART LAKE, Wis., August 23, 2022 – Road America recently announced that the Kastner Cup would be the featured marque of the 2023 WeatherTech International Challenge with Brian Redman. Widely known as one of the largest vintage racecar gatherings in the United States, featuring over 50 classes of cars racing in several groups, The WeatherTech International Challenge with Brian Redman will return on July 13-16, 2023. A mid-summer classic including everything from a special Concours on Friday and Saturday along the streets of Elkhart Lake and a special Triumph sports car racer reunion makes the 2023 event a can’t miss spectacle for any racing enthusiast.

“This event has become an annual tradition for hundreds of racers, enthusiasts, and thousands of fans every year,” said George Bruggenthies, Senior Consultant for Road America. “We are extremely proud to announce that the event will pay tribute to Triumph sports cars and the Kastner Cup experience, as drivers can imagine themselves as Paul Newman as they round Canada Corner, and spectators can smell the tires and race fuel just as they might’ve done decades before. Road America is poised to usher in the celebration with a racer’s reunion, races for club and pro series–vintage, historic and contemporary racers; a Concours with expert and people’s choice awards, track touring, parade laps, and a vendor marketplace, making the 2023 WeatherTech International Challenge with Brian Redman an event that everyone of all ages can enjoy.”

Having the Kastner Cup for Triumph sports cars serve as the featured mark for 2023 is a fitting tribute for the event as Triumphs have raced at the fabled four-mile 14-turn circuit since the late ’50s. The Kastner Cup was named in recognition of the career accomplishment and legacy of R.W. “Kas” Kastner, who passed away on April 11, 2021, at 92. Kas Kastner was one of the most influential individuals responsible for the racing success of Triumph sports cars from the late 1950s through 1970 and beyond. To this day, his series of Competition Preparation Manuals are a must-read for competitors in Triumph sports cars. Later in his career, Kastner directed the Nissan IMSA GTP team that won the manufacturers’ championship three years in a row and the drivers’ championship four years in a row; a remarkable achievement.

The Kastner Cup has become a major event on the vintage racing calendar for British car fans. The race is held at a different track each year to provide Triumph racers across the country a chance to compete for the Cup. Open to race prepared Triumph powered cars, the Kastner Cup is awarded to one competitor based on the following criteria:

• 50% for the competitive results on the racetrack during the event (not necessarily the winner)
• 25% for the presentation of the car
• 25% for the attitude and interest in Vintage racing

More details for the 2023 WeatherTech International Challenge with Brian Redman, including entry information, qualifying procedures, concourse information, and tickets, are expected in the coming months.
